WHAT tastes better than skinny feels?

Honestly there is no food that I would gladly be fat for.0

Everything. 'Skinny' feels crap.0

You can have EVERYTHING you like and not be fat.
Agreed.
And I find it sad that there are people who derive no pleasure from food. It's not good to use it as a crutch, but you can enjoy your food and still eat in moderation and enjoy what you eat.
Yep. Saying food is just fuel is like saying sex is just for procreation.0 -
The people that say "nothing" make me sad. God gave us food as a pleasure to enjoy in moderation. :drinker:
Homemade bread & butter
good cheese
good beer
and dessert that I make!
my homemade chicken pot pie or chicken & dumplings
Culver's Pumpkin Cheesecake Concrete Mixer
I could go on...
I am thin, but definitely not skinny, strong, and I have the energy to keep up with my kids because I fuel my body and don't mind indulging in something super yummy on occasion. I can almost always fit it into my calories.0 -
I'm not interested in being skinny, so pretty much everything tastes better than it feels. I have to say though, cheap, bad cake/ice-cream/chips whatever aren't worth 'spending' my calories on. Calorie counting has helped me care more about quality, and when I found myself gorging on marshmallow fluff and chocolate frosting, I binned them.
So, what I still eat, joyfully, which others may frown upon:
Pizza
Chocolate
Licorice all-sorts
Ice cream
Cake (especially homemade)
All types of cheese (I'll have less bread rather than less cheese!)
Wine
Beer
Cider
Juice
Some of them are a bigger decision than others, but with 2000kcal + per day, I can afford some here and there.0 -
Wine.
Bacon.
Cadbury Eggs.
Fun dip.
My husband's lemon butter chicken pasta. (There's like 12 tbsp of butter in the recipe.... yum!)
Taco Bell.
All you can eat sushi.
But that's okay.... because I'm strong and I eat pretty much whatever I want. In moderation, of course.0 -
chocolate
pasta
nutella
nutella and more chocolate
cheese0 -
Nothing?
I think it is true though, junk makes you feel junk so you feel junk... if you eat healthy and for your body rather than emotions, you eat and feel good and are skinny, hence nothing tastes as good as skinny feels...
That my take on the phrase anyway... might not be what it initially started out as, but healthy and skinny is better than eat junk feel crap and be fat
Oh and as an extra, you can eat anything you want really... just... not overkill...0 -
RAW COOKIE DOUGH

Wine. Cheese.
My fresh home made scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. HEAVEN ON A PLATE. The only reason I can resist eating the whole batch is that I know I can make more any time I like.0 -
I can think of so many things, Mexican, nacho cheese, Reeses, cookie dough ice cream, cheese pizza. Yummmmmm.0

junk makes you feel junk so you feel junk...
That's true, if you live on it.
As I'm scaling down my indulgences, I've noticed that even my weekly sweet treat makes me feel junky and sugar headachy (suffering right now!).
Next week I will be having only 1/3 of a serving. I'm guessing a couple of mouthfuls of beautiful tiramisu will make me feel juuuust right. :happy:0 -
chocolate liqueur covered cherries from trader joe's0

I'm loving this, people, honestly, don't take it too seriously - please note this is under the fun&games section!!!!! Obviously moderation is key, thank you fleet of obviousness0

I hate hate hate the quote, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Simply because, for me, that's entirely untrue. Papa Murphy's Hawaiian Pizza is worth being fat for. It just is. And some brownies too.
SO for you - what is worth being fat for?
Anything Cheesecake Factory, Peacan Pie or a good creamy Key Lime Pie. Nope, I'm wrong Praline's and Creme Ice Cream.0 -

I know what you mean. To satisfy the fat girl inside, I have a pig out day once a week. I eat whatever I want. Well, lately I haven't been able to do that because I just don't want it. I was almost upset last week when I realize how little sweets I have come to crave. I felt violate at first. Then I realized that this is starting to become a life style and that's okay.0 -
It's a silly quote because we need to feed ourselves! Just avoid the processed sugars in the main (and probably processed anything if we can), eat more vegetables and keep moving (oh, and reduce the salt a bit too) and life is sweet as0

My personal opinion is people lacking a sense of humor shouldn't be allowed to post.0 -
a really good eggplant parmesan.
or homemade lamb curry with homemade roti or naan.0 -
Patisserie or home-made baking, anything made with matcha (hey, it's green tea, right? It MUST be good despite the thousands of other amazingly unhealthy but delicious things it gets cooked with ), Christmas biscuits.0

Anything sugar. lol
With fat. Sugar and fat make the world go round.
