What vegetable has the best carbs?
White potatoes
FTW!
Potatoes are not vegetables.
Potatoes are the leading vegetable crop in the United States (not including sweet potatoes), contributing about 15 percent of farm sales receipts for vegetables

Of course the USDA would say that. They are tubers, not vegetables.
And what is a tuber?0 -
Veggies are not created equally when it comes to carbs. Root veggies, corn, tomatoes and legumes have way more carbs than green leaf veggies because of their sugar content..
I follow a Dr. supervised Atkins like lifestyle. The basic guidelines are, no root veggies, tomatoes, corn, no beans or other legumes, no brussel sprouts. Meats must have <10% fat, low sodium foods <170mg of sodium per serving, no sugar 0g per serving (substitutes like Splenda allowed), depending on the phase of the diet (induction 20g net carbs a day, losing 50g a day, maintenance 80g a day). No dairy 2tsp a day heavy cream for coffee if you must. Exercise - light cardio (walking briskly about 3.3 mph) 150mins a week, lift weights 30 mins 2 times a week. Since July 30 I have lost 59 lbs
Following is a per serving guide to reading food labels. Eat not food that exceeds a limit on this chart.
<1g net carb (sugar + starch + maltodextrin) per serving Phase 1
<5g net carb (sugar + starch + maltodextrin) per serving Phase 2
<10g net carb (sugar + starch + maltodextrin) per serving Phase 3
<10g sugar alcohol
<30g of polydextrose + inulin
<30g of calories from fat
<6g of total fat
<2g of saturated fat
<30mg of cholesterol
<170mg of sodium
no limit on protein and fiber0 -

.... -facepalm-
The only way a veggie could possibly ever be bad for you is you slathered it in butter, battered it, deep fried it, or stuffed it with tons of bad food... people need veggies, there are tons of nutrients in them.
That sounds like the best way to prepare veggies.0 -
rice also just evil...wiped out all of Asia
