It's time for final weigh-in for our "Valentine's Day Challenge!" Post your weights here, and any additional stats you want to add (weight lost this week, lost this challenge, inches lost, etc.)

It's also time to start our "Fling Into Spring" (name courtesy of pinbot!) challenge. Any newbies wanting to join, this is a great time. We've been doing 6-week challenges, so this one will end on Friday, March 26th. We weigh in every Friday (a new thread will be up Thursday night/Friday morning), and check in and vent as often as we can (check our previous threads to catch up if you like) So for this challenge, post your starting weight, and your goal weight for the challenge and any other statistics you want to include (measurements, weight lost so far, ultimate goal weight, etc).

We've got some gals teetering right on the 200 mark after 2 challenges, so this'll be the last one where everyone's still over 200. Let's all keep at it. We're superstars! Let the fun begin!!

Let me know if I forgot anything gals! I'm excited for our new challenge!

Oh - what a great morning. I went ahead and changed my ticker too:love: My anniversary pizza is gone and I am down to 201 - WOW. It was almost 200.75 (the scale was teetering 1/2 way between so I went with the higher number:grumble: ).... So close and yet so far. New goal for the Spring challenge to be 191    I will post the Valentine's Challenge results once everyone has reported in. We have all come so far. GO TEAM GO.

Kiristina - hope your run went well. The first post looks great. Thanks :flowerforyou: I can't take all the credit for the challenge name - I stole it from another group:blushing: but it works and they didn't have it copyrighted.

Deb - I will ask the doc about the over the counter freeze stuff. Don't worry too much about the early morning clients. In a week or 2, I will get them reorganized to start later. I like my morning ex too much.

Good luck on the weigh-in to all my great superhero buddies (I want a smiliey with a cape to post here:wink: ). Welcome to all new challengers - if you post start weight, challenge goal weight and current weight, I will get you into the next chart.

I'll check in by iPhone from the doctor's office lobby this afternoon.

Great job ladies!!! (pinbot, girl! you are SO close to the 100s!)

    Today's weigh-in: 206.2lb (-0.6 for the week, -7.2 for the Valentine's Challenge!)

I will SO take both numbers. It's sort of a miracle that I lost ANYTHING this week due to TOM/bloat issues, but I'm glad I did, as I feel like my starting number for the Fling Into Spring challenge is more accurate. Also of note, I lost 0.5 off my waist, 1.0 off my hips, 1.0 off my thighs, and 0.5 off my upper arms. Slow and steady!

Fling into Spring Goal: 196. (eeeee! )

Good luck to everyone! I'm pumped for the new challenge!

As for a general update, running went well yesterday. I was pretty proud of myself. It has gotten easier. I ran the whole 25 minutes at 4.5 (5.0 for last 2 minutes), with just a quick 15-20ish second step to the sides to get a few gulps of water. Of course, I'm running for time, not for distance in the challenge, so I didn't hit the distance goal, but I wasn't TOO far off. Factoring out the 5 minute warm-up walk, I ran 1.88 miles, which is just unbelievable to me. The thought of running a half a mile boggled the mine not just 6 weeks ago, so YAY! Totally proud of myself, and thanks to all of you for the support and inspiration. I'm definitely sticking with it. I also did 30 min on the elliptical last night as well, as it was last chance work out. It was a long day.

I'm off late this afternoon for my mini-break to Cincy. No exercise probably, but I'll try and keep the eating somewhat under control. I'm sure I'll be over calories, but hopefully not horridly so. When I get there tonight, we're going out for drinks and watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. Should be nice! If I don't get back too late on Sunday, I'm going to try and head to the rec center and put in day 1 of week 7 of c25k. I'd like to stick to my Sun/Tues/Thur routine for that, with added other exercise in most of the other days. I'll still be able to log food through the iphone app (godsend!).

:blushing: I am excited for the new challenge too!! I love the spring! when I weighed in this morning, I didn't minus my clothes, cause I ate a protein bar, then before I got in the shower I weighed in and it was 221.6( I ahemm:blushing: Then weighed)! thats cool, cause this week I was 220 before I pigged out. I'll take that. Happy valentines day  I will be working all day 11a-11p, but it will keep my mind busy. I am going out today to buy my babies some little things for valentines day.. I'm almost ashamed to post my results today...you girls are all doing so well.....I am so happy for each and everyone of you!!!!!!!

I weighed in 212.2, that's up a pound from last week and I think only 4 pounds for the whole challenge.

I know I am doing all the right things, I am not sure why I am having so much trouble, this is only the second week with eating more of my exercise calories, maybe that's the gain they said I could have happen. AT least it's not the 10 pounds I had on Monday...I am really feeling defeated right now, I'm so blue and crying like a baby....I'm not usually like this....I'm sure it's the whole TOM thing, I hope to snap out of it.........:embarassed:

Again, I am happy for all of you "BIG SUPER HERO LOSERS"...Great job, hope to join you soon!!

Congrats to everyone. Yes even you Debra. You may have some medical issues that are not only affecting TOM but weight loss. You are doing great and inspire me. Thanks!!!!!

Kristina, you can use safari on the iPhone to log and check message boards. Nice job on your run. Take your shoes. Maybe it will be nice enough to do day outside before you leave Cinci. Have a nice trip.

I'll try to check in later.

I was so ashamed that I didn't lose 2 pounds last week that I didn't post my weight at all because I didn't want to ruin the whole "everyone lost 2 pounds" vibe. :embarassed:

Thanks Ladies., you are all my super heros!!!..
I know I shouldn't feel so sorry for myself...it's just tough to take...I remember saying to my husband over a year ago, heck almost 2 now...I was going to devote 2 hours a day to my health... and take this weight off once and for all....I started slow with changing the food that I brought into the house and I have to say that everyone has had good results from that...my son lost around 20#'s just from my changes in the junk that I brought in. I began working out in December of 2007, and I am being totally honest when I say that it has been pretty regular, atleast 5-6 days a week...this year I haven't missed a day yet of working out...(although one of those days is usually a stretch workout)....and it seems like I fight for every pound...I know I'm old...but geesh! I do think my health is causing a problem...too, I just wish we could get to the bottom of that as well. The migraines are getting worse and I have just cried all day....

I'm not giving up, I do know that I have came this far and I am a lot stronger than I once was....I re-did my pushups today and I was able to do 45 of them in 1 minute...compared to not even being able to do 1 in January of 2008....so those are the things I need to focus on....thanks everyone for reminding me...and cds you also had me take a look at some of the other things, like my nails and hair...they are healthier and I usually get really dry skin in the winter and this winter I have not noticed it at all.... So Super pals...I command myself to snap out of it....  Thanks for being patient with me....and Blombie, I'm sure you can find some positives too...come join me, we'll all get through this together!!!!! Hugs to each and everyone of you!

You know what...I might change my ticker to reflect how much weight that I have lost in total...not just since joining MFP...maybe that will remind me...I have came some distance....I think I'll do that!

For the challenge Fling into Spring
    Start weight 212.2
Goal weight 202.2....I'm going to do it this time!!!! (Or at least give it my very best shot!)

    Lets do this!!!:drinker:  :drinker:

Deb and Blombie - We are here for you. Please don't feel bad posting anything good or bad. Hugs to you both.

My foot is killing me - ouch. I am going to try running to see if the endorphins will help. The doctor used frozen nitrogen on the wart. I was limping all last night. It will take 2 weeks to see if it worked. In my haste to post and get out of the house early yesterday, I forgot to put the crock pot on. So we went out for dinner. I was not in a mood to cook last night. The grilled chicken, strawberry, walnut salad was good. Today I will get to taste the crock creation. Such is my life.

This morning was a great morning. I wont consider it real unless it holds to next Thurs but after using the facilities, I was 199.75 (cartwheel, back flip, somersault)... I had a few shots of bourbon last night and was probably dehydrated but I will take it. It felt good to weigh in mid-day at the doctor's office at 204 with clothes. Well I am off to burn a few calories. I hope everyone has fun planned for the weekend. We are staying home and watching the Olympics and basketball:grumble:

This week a lady at work asked me if I was losing weight, I told her yes and she said she could tell. My mom has been telling me for a few weeks that she can tell I'm getting smaller. And a couple times my sister has asked me if I've had to buy smaller clothes yet. I may not be losing big numbers, but I'm getting smaller. And no, I haven't had to buy new clothes yet. I could get all the way down to 220 and still fit in my clothes. I wasn't at 260 very long...that was when I decided to get smaller instead of buy bigger clothes. When I was at 260, I couldn't fit my belt around me. By the time I needed it, I had to put it in the 2nd hole and now I have to have it in the 3rd hole in order to keep my pants up.

Slowly but surely, I'm going to get there.

Blombie - that's great that people are noticing. Keep up the great work.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. My foot feels much better since running. I finally managed to jog for an entire 5K - YEAH... It took 41 min 20 sec at 4.5 mph. I am pretty proud of myself. My goal now is to work on speed.

My mom really rocks. While working out yesterday, she asked about doing more weight training. She wants to get rid of her bat wings (under arm flab). So tonight, I set up a 20 min DVD for weight training by Donna Richardson. We always try to do at least 30 min of ex so mom says lets try that kick and jab stuff. Have you ever seen a 60+ lady try it? Oh, we had a great laugh and a good workout. She really motivates me to do more. Tomorrow we are going to snow trail walk or snow shoe - it will depend on the snow fall/base when we get to the park. Last weekend I used the mapmyrun app on the iphone and it logged 1.5 miles of snow trail walking. I wish I had my mom's height she is 5' 10" while I am stuck at 5' 5 1/2"... And yes, I weigh more than her. She is right around 193 (sigh). She keeps losing too. She doesn't have internet but she feels she knows all of you. We have to have something to talk about and you guys are my new life (and my fav group)...

Kristina - I am so excited. I was looking for a 10K race to give myself motivation and I noticed a 5K in Ypsi on May 8th. I'll come down and run it with you - if your interested. I am always looking for excuses to get downstate. Here's a link to the race.

I feel so much better today and my spirits are high and I'm ready to jump into this next challenge. I have been trying some interval workouts, where you work out intensely for a minute or two then bring it back down in your zone for a brief recovery and repeat...just trying different things to shake things up.
Pinbot...give your Mom a high 5 for me, that's great at her wanting to challenge herself more. I love kick boxing, that is one of my favorite workouts....the kids say I just like to yell....because I do give out some sound with my punches and kicks:laugh:

Hey Ladies; How is everyones weekend going? I haven't been doing good, eating wise; but tomorrow is a new day, and even though were going to Old Country Buffet today I don't plan on PIGGING out.. Like I would have before :blushing: . But I won't be calorie counting. Even though I have been off track, I am back in action tomorrow. I feel like crappy crap from eating all this crap..
Pinbot; the chart looks good! I can't believe I lost the most percent wise :blushing: ! I couldn't have done it without all of you Super heroes! I hope to continue doing well in the next challenge Good job everyone!!:drinker: :drinker:
I love the spring, it gives me motivation.. I have recently started thinkihng that I ahve the type of depression that is worse in the winter.. all the dreary-ness.. and I'm not too fond of holidays.
happy Valentines day Ladies! Enjoy your day & spend it with the ones you love.. I called out today because I wanted to be with my kids...

Hi I hope I can join. I am well safely under the 300s now. My actual starting weight and I just remembered this a few weeks ago is 320

    Current weight 287 :D

My mini goal is get out of the 280s and into the 270s by spring I hope. We'll see.

I broke my ankle back in October which slowed things up for me and I was bouncing between 290 and 292 for a while there and this weekends I broke through and dropped a nice four pounds. :drinker:
