Why are womens' bodies always up for scrutiny?

Maybe you interacted with the wrong clerks/salespeople. I mean I was one. The only time I would comment was to actually compliment someone or ask where they got something. I like to think I added something positive to their day, but if extra positive attention isn't a good thing?....0

Ok...I get a lot of attention but I not so many people asking me questions like that. Where the heck do you LIVE? Maybe b/c we are all so jaded in NJ...they look, and some guys of course try to chat me up, but I don't get all these questions about my thighs, etc
You're from NJ?

Dammit. I hate when I miss a good original thread and can only read a silly follow up. Bleh.0

You kind of answered your own question. It's the way you're presenting yourself.
Maybe take a long hard look at the clothes that you are wearing and the kind of image you put off vs. what you want to represent.
What you consider everyday clothes some people may consider too revealing.
Obviously there's something getting people's attention.0 -

I love it when men stare at my cleavage and give me free stuff. it makes me feel sexy, sooo.....
LOVE that you postes this. I thought I was the only Arrested Development lover.0 -
Didn't see the original thread, OP, but I know what you mean. It's kind of weird how casually complete strangers sometimes feel entitled to comment on a person's body. I've had it happen to me, by customer service people, in both very positive and very negative contexts, and I remember feeling humiliated on a few of those occasions.0

So we have ONE actual answer and then just crap.
And people wonder why folks advise against ever using the forums for help. Won't make that mistake again.
Funny. For someone who "won't make that mistake again," you sure do have a lot of mistakes.. erm *cough* I mean, posts.0 -

I know, the OP is not even defensive about what size she wears in this one...trying to convince....somebody (herself maybe?)...that she fits in to whatever size the cashier doubted she fit in to.0 -

This was my first time posting it, but it pretty much sums up my reaction to most threads. :-P0 -

I remember the original post...and I'll refrain from repeating exactly what the original post said...but...
Everyone's body is scrutinized...male or female..don't matter. It happens and I think you should get over it and quit letting little things like this affect you so dramatically.0 -
Waaah, people like my body! Waaah!

The (FEMALE) vet isn't staring at my boobs and asking what my current jean size is
You shouldn't put up with that from your Vet
