Well, here are wbsites to answer your question and prove my point, that even on a molecular level tea is no longer H2O because chemicals from the tea leaves form bonds with chemicals in H20. Enjoy. http://www.teaclass.com/lesson_0204.html, http://www.alltea.com/blog/2012/02/chemistry-tea, http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/jf60159a025.
Your argument is invalid...But thanks for the link to the article from 1968...Nostalgia.0 -

News Flash! Human body separate's chemicals/nutrients when in digestion mode and thus still hydrates.
Think simply man. MFP only has a water counter and not a tea counter, or a soda pop counter. So in general most people (99% of them) just want to know if certain things will count as water=hydration...
Edit: But apparently most people do not know what a search button does or some thing. :ohwell:0 -
Well, I never said it didn't, but as far as being water, it's not.nope...it's not water!
BUT THEY ALL STILL HYDRATE!!0 -

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the institutions of higher learning that I attended, which assisted in the development of my ability to interpret scientific data using deductive reasoning.0 -

Either way, make sure you get your eight glasses every day...
...otherwise, you'll enter dehydration mode and you'll retain several pounds of water.0 -
