right now during Christmas "Silent Night" and "O Holy Night" do because they were my Mom's favorite songs, she past away in August so hearing them now just brings the tears.

Otherwise the songs about 9-11 always make me cry, Alan Jackson "Where were you that September Day" and few others,

and the National Anthem always puts a lump in my throat, especially if someone sings it and they can hit that high note...

Music by John Barry (the composer, not the singer)

Last night, we all watched 'Meet Me in St. Louis' for the first time. Judy Garland singing 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas' was pretty touching. Ummm... my eyes were tired. I wasn't getting misty-eyed. Honest.

So many emotions, so many songs.

    Sad: Overcome by Live
    Happy: Perth by Bon Iver
Motivated to be awesome: Hero of the Day by Metallica
Gooey-lovey-dovey: This Woman's Work by Maxwell
Strong: She Wolf by David Guetta

As for a song I absolutely cannot listen to without crying.... Just a Dream by Carrie Underwood. Sob like a baby. Every. Single. Time.

Wild Horses by Rolling Stones. My mother used to sing it to me while playing it on the guitar when I was young.

Have you heard the cover by The Sundays? You might like it even more, especially since your mother sang it.

In the living years - mike and the mechanics

    I wasn't there that morning
    When my Father passed away
I didn't get to tell him
All the things I had to say

I think I caught his spirit
    Later that same year
I'm sure I heard his echo
In my baby's new born tears
I just wish I could have told him in the living years
