Those of you who can do a Planch - I guess your hands are placed in the same position as a regular push-up but lower down to your waist for balance?
Have you tried the yoga Peacock posture? It is like a planche but the wrists are forward and you balance on a bent arm to 90 degrees - elbows into your core.
I've got as far as doing this as a Plank and working on getting my feet off the ground - aint easy!
i fell-_-0 -
There is a type we do in PT were you walk your hands out, do the push-up then walk your hands in then up to standing. Might not be the hardest ever but I flappin hate them.
I found decline push-ups hard too.
Those planche push-ups win though I think.0 -
Ages ago I saw this and figured it would be hardest to achieve overall.

For the planche, you can have the hands in any position that's comfy for you.
The peacock posture is known as elbow lever: http://www.beastskills.com/elbow-lever/
Not really difficult compared to the planche - more about balance than anything.0 -

I youtubed "no handed push ups" and found some amusing videos. Crafty buggers.
Tell you what, though, rather than do normal push ups, I do what I call "no hands push ups". A normal push up but come all the way to the ground so you're lying on the floor, lift your palms off briefly, then do another push up. No cheating is possible that way even when you get tired. Do three sets to failure - failure is when you just cannot get off the ground. :-D0
