    Awesome girlfriend!! I love the attitude in your picture!! I am so happy for you.
    I just started (AGAIN) back on a 1200 calorie plan.
    I am 57 yrs old and 6"1 and 263lbs (ouch) and my goal is 175 also. Us tall girls have the long legs but mine are sure FAT!!

    congratulations.

    every thing i have read boils down to eating better and less, and exercising more .. but for many people the eating habits are hard to break, and if you are carrying too much weight then hard exercise just isnt practical! i'm lucky that i had a jolt from a mini-stroke last summer, and so i have had good discipline with eating ... and my kids are young adults so i can make time for exercise (bicycle / gym and more recently nordic walking ) .. but mostly this site i found a really good way of identifying where the calories come from and how to eat better. what worked for you?

    p.s. I can really recommend fast walking / nordic walking (look on web). at 4 mph or more you burn as much as jogging for same distance, and using poles does burn more calories from upper body as well as improving posture and taking some strain off back / knees which must be more important the heavier you are.
