Good evening BT ! 672 calories burned for the day, and I am feeling every muscle in my lower body. I did Jillian Michael's, Shape Up Backside plus the 30 day shred. Got a mile walk in, I know its not much but at least the weather is getting better so I want to get outside. I also have her Shape Up Front too ! Planning on doing Front tomorrow then Back. Alternate days, until I feel like I'm not going to break or pull something.

    Have a good evening !

Tamara- good job eating more and hope you like your new sneaks

Digging. Uh! Actually, the digging isn't that bad. I got a system. It's the filling the wheel barrow, hiking in down and across the back yard, out to the front yard, trying to hold on to a seriously heavy teetering load as I go down the really steep front hill with it to dump it. I would no sooner start digging again and have to take another trip to dump. The digging I can handle, the relocating all the dirt elsewhere is exhausting.

4 hours worth of back breaking work. I am past exhausted right now. Hubs is in mega crank *kitten* mood and complaining that his shins hurt from his 3 mile speed walk yesterday. Excuse me if I have no sympathy right now. I ran 3 miles, did 15 minutes on the steeper, swept the entire house- carpet and hard floors, did 2 loads of laundry, went to Walmart for food, dug and moved dirt for 4 hours, ran to the school to pick up a kid from tennis, cooked dinner, cleaned up from that and now I am DONE. All I wanna say is stop your b!tching and moaning!

Whew! I feel better now. Well, not really but it still felt good to vent.

Got monkey bread in the oven for the kids. They are busting a gut for that stuff to be done baking! It does smell good and I have no idea how many calories I burned, but I do know it was a lot and I'm eating some. Yummo.

Roni- I had never made it before either, but remembered it from my childhood the other day. It was so easy to make. The kids devoured the entire thing! I bought a 4 pack of the PIllsbury Buttermilk Biscuits and used all of them and there was plenty of sugary goo!

    MONKEY BREAD
    1/2 c. white sugar
    3 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 stick melted butter
    3 pkgs. Pillsbury biscuits (10)

    Cut biscuits into quarters.
Put in sugar and cinnamon mixture (to coat biscuits on all sides).
    Grease bundt pan.
    Put biscuits in pan.
Pour remaining sugar and melted butter over biscuits.
Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees; remove immediately.
    Remove from pan to plate.

Good morning team...I'm off to a late start again. I went to the gym first thing this morning and I feel fabulous. I forgot how good it feels to work out early. I have to type a few hours now and then run errands. Hope you all have a wonderful day. I will drink 8 glasses of water today (with a little Crystal Light)

I will catch up on posts today or tomorrow. This job just keeps getting in the way of my fitness pal time:laugh:

Roni..If the soreness in my lower half is any indication yes they are good. She moves through the exercises at a faster rate then the Shred ones but you do more of them. I can definitely tell I worked out yesterday. Good luck with them and let me know what you think.

Hello from over the pond. Sorry haven't been around much, am feeling quite low and don't want to bring anyone else down, so am lurking but not always typing!

Have managed 90 minutes walking today, and am going to try for an early night tonight. Having some girl-friends over tomorrow night for an early birthday celebration and going out with dh somewhere as a surprise on saturday, so am aiming at not being good but still trying to do my exercises so that I don't feel so bad about any over indulgances, and will start afresh on monday.

Marla - hope that your meeting goes ok at 3pm will be thinking of you

Lori - hope that the digging goes ok. Oh how I would love a hot tube but little english gardens don't have enough space, am trying to convince dh to get one of those hot tube come shower cubicles for the bathroom but so far no luck

Tamara - hope that you are having a good time and that the change of workout time doesn't effect you too much

Donna - fully understand and am in a likewise place

Tammy - good luck with the typing and chores and glad that ds has gone back to soccer and not track

To everyone else, hello and sorry that I haven't addressed you all individually, xx

I'm avoiding going outside. Don't wanna......

Here's the pics I took for my blog, I will share, plus it will put off heading out.

Here's what I have done so far, still about 2-3 feet more, of course on the steepest part of the yard.
    DSC_0005.jpg?t=1267720583
Pictures make it look like nothing. That hole will be 10 feet by 10 feet and at least 2 feet deep on the back side. It looks piddly in that pic! LOL

Once I fill a wheelbarrow, I have to take the wobbly heavy thing down the yard, out the gate- which is in the far corner of course, across the driveway.
    DSC_0008.jpg?t=1267720555
    DSC_0015.jpg?t=1267720351

At which point I need to get it down the even steeper front yard to a spot that has no dirt left because it all ran down the street to our neighbors. Houses on hills are impossible to grow good grass!
    DSC_0012.jpg?t=1267720452

I figure I dumped 20-25 loads of dirt in the front yard yesterday. As deep as I have to dig today, I can only imagine how many I will have to tote out there. Luckily I have a lot of crappy front yard to dump it all.

Uh, crud. Guess I'm done stalling. Off I go!

Lori, you are the man. LOL

    Can't tarry--

Joyful news-- my son is coming home. With trepidation and joy we've reached an accord with the wayward lad, and he has accepted our terms for return.

My daughters are all in blissful tears. I'm very happy, and very worried that we'll have to kick him out again in the future if he doesn't mind his P's and Q's--

Prayers for peace in the Brown home are coveted.

Must go-- busy day on tap.

Shuntae - I love the hair

I am having a crappy evening and just want to cry...... little John my 5 year old has come home from his friends (where he went for tea after school) with a broken nose - he fell off the trampoline!! Last week Thomas broke his finger at school and this week little John has broken his nose. I feel so useless, there was nothing I could do to prevent this and how can I make it better for him - I can't and the poor little man has to suffer the pain and discomfort  :frown:

Sorry - just needed to vent

Meeting went well. TONS AND TONS to tell you-- but I still can't.

Can't wait. Nothing decided yet for the sponsorship, this was a meet and greet, and official tour of the facility-- blah, blah, blah. Too flippin' cool.
  • Ok, it sounds like these kids acted like fools, but why would you dub the team "pagan". Christians and Pagans alike act like idiots all the time. It's the parents and how they choose to raise their children. I am Pagan and have a Pagan family. My daughter plays very competitively on a ball team and her team mates be they Christian or not love her reagrdless of her religious upbringing. She is polite and voluteers as a camp councelor for kids with diabilities and helps tutor the down syndrome children at her high school. That is acceptable behavior for our teens and it has nothing to do with the religious label she wears. It sounds like you have raise a bright and polite child and these other parents need to maybe quit catering to their lazy whinny kids. As, someone looking from the outside in. I would have automatcally over looked the fact that they were playing under a "Christian" label and gone right to the source of the problem. Lazy parents raising lazy children.

This is an old thread, so I'm not entirely sure anymore to what you're referring-- but, I think if I'm reading it right......... My choice of "pagan" simply was to coin the term that a lot of Christians would use to describe something that isn't "Christian." If it's not under the label of Christianity, a lot of professing believers that I've known use the label "pagan," simply meaning non-Christian.

It wasn't a term of offense, which is clear in the context because the children of the non-Christian league behaved better, and so did the parents--
