Holy Zarquon, Zaphod - next time, just take your chances with the Infinite Improbability Drive... and if that doesn't work, just shrug yoru shoulders and imagine them being yelled at by their manager - then it becomes an SEP (Somebody Else's Problem.)

As long as you know where your towel is, it's all good.

    Stay hoopy, my friend.

I think I love you. Just saying.

Check your bag BEFORE you get on the freeway....and BEFORE you even pull away from the window.

^ This. I don't leave any drive thru without giving my order a quick look-see. I even make sure my napkins and straws are in there.

Yeah this. I do it, along with many, many other middle aged women. I think it's why we're the demographic most hated by servers, but at least we don't get shafted.

Almost the same happened to me a few years back. But for me, they forgot the egg in the egg mcmuffin. How do you do that???? I was close so I turned around and went back.

*sigh* And Egg McMuffin with no egg...could have just have easily left off the muffin and just given me sausage wrapped in cheese.

Go inside. It's amazing how much better people treat each other in person.

I was going to post something sarcastic about the nutritional value of McDonalds and how it's poison or some other alarmism but I see that's already been done.

You mean that the person who takes the money and hands you the food isn't really a person????

I went through the drive thru and got my usual (#2 with coffee). I was already a few miles away and on the freeway when I realized that they forgot to include the hash browns. My breakfast was pretty much ruined. What should I do now? Do I have any recourse?
I assume you already called 911.

good idea, but i'm not supposed to talk on the phone while driving.

Also, make sure to beat up the manager when you go back, especially if the manager is a woman.

These two methods of coping seem to work well for others.

We have bullet proof glass and little sliding doors to take the money and pass out the food. I haven't had anyone talk to me in a drive thru in over a decade.

    Where do you LIVE???

I have never seen anything like that. We just went through the Wendy's drive thru at a rest stop on I-10 in Florida and the window slid open. We travel quite a bit by car, so I've been through my share of drive thrus in the last few years and they were all that way.

I live in Kansas City but the last time I went to a drive thru was in St. Louis. I thought that they were all like that now.

Nope. Maybe the ones you've been to are just in particularly dangerous areas?

I got my #2 again this morning. It came with the hashbrowns. I did check the bag before driving off. I didn't even mention the mixup from yesterday because I hate talking to people. I didn't throw any food in anybody[s face. Order is restored in the universe. And now it's almost time for lunch.

Lol, I live in Detroit, and all of our Wendy's and McDonald's have that... I think it's an insurance thing.
