    1. Calculate your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) and never go more than 20% below it

    2. learn to enjoy exercise

    3. Eat your exercise calories back

    4. You can't lose fat and gain muscle at the same time... :(

What's the most important thing you have learned on MFP? Mine is that you don't have to starve yourself to lose weight! Actually, it's much better if you don't!

Definitely this. If I'd carried on as I always had before MFP I'd probably have continued yo-yo dieting for ever - starving myself on 1000 cals for a few months then watching the weight go back on only to repeat the whole process. MFP has helped my break the cycle.

That many people are totally clueless the amount of mis-information is mind boggling. And that 99% of the time people greatly over complicate things.

I eat too much and never liked to seriously account for what I was eating until I joined.

IO would ahve to say the most important thing I have learned from MFP is to not ask questions in the forums.

There are too many bored frugle housewives with ugly families just waiting to show your diary to there nutritionist

LOG your food. I have been horrible at it and have completed 30 day shred and insanity and also did 2-a- day workouts and have only lost 1 pound. This is due to me thinking I know what I'm doing...well it has not worked. I am back to logging my food.

I have learned that I eat way more calories than I ever burned. I have gotten much better at making sure I move more. Still not always the best when it comes to eating but better.

Anyone that disagrees with you is a troll.

It's fine to sit up on your high horse judging others, so long as you are a massive hypocrite.

    All men suck.

That Kit Kat I had this morning was definitely worth the calories, unlike potatoes.
