    Here I go again: Shred report - Level 1 Day 1 complete. Taking all that time off did me no good. I thought I was going to die. I bet I will be sore tomarrow.

    Glad to see everyone is doing good. And Lauryn you know we are all here for you my dear. You'll be back on track soon. Hang in there sweetie.

    So...I've been SO absent ladies! Haven't been logging my food, haven't been exercising...had NO motivation! And I don't know why?! I've now gained 1.5 pounds and feel MISERABLE! Usually I'm so good at motivating myself AND others, and now I don't even have the littlest to scrape up for myself! WHAT IS GOING ON??!!! VERY frustrating! But...I'm going to get back on the wagon today! Going to log EVERYTHING! Going to get in some exercise! Going to be positive! I CAN do this!!!

    Well - misery loves company - I'm glad I haven't been the only one. Let's blame it on February!! Gloomy - rainy - depressing February. It's gone now - and I feel better already!! I gained 1.4 since the beginning of last challenge, but that's just water, right? I WILL lose that this week - we both will I'm sure. Look how great you did last challenge - you lost a lot of weight and you are good at motivating us. We'll just brush ourselves off and get back on the wagon. :flowerforyou:

    Hello everyone... just checking in. I think I posted on the Feb site but here we are again. LOL Up one lb. Boo Hoo, but I did deserve it. I go out on the weekends and viola! I did go to this awesome pizza place. I don't have many weaknesses but my favorite pizza is Large. FOGL!!! I did watch what I ate and drank.
    I feel the same Kistin and Emmie... What is with February? It snowed, rained, and I think the sun came out like 2 days! Bummer! Well I am off to a play tonite! Fun....

    Good morning lovely ladies. Why am I so cheerful even though I woke up an hour late for work? Well, yesterday morning I weighed in at 146. But after two straight days of eating healthy and getting exercise in, the daggone water weight of those birth control pills I think is finally coming off. Throughout the day, as my rings kept sliding around I stepped on the scale and it went down to 143, then 142 (has never gone DOWN at the end of the day). This morning, 141!!! I'm sticking with my weight for the startup at 146 as I know it could fluctuate, but definitely gives me incentive to keep going strong. Usually by the third day of eating right I start making excuses for my cheats. But I am resolved this time and have the little back dress on my closet door to remind me.

    Lauryn - Don't get too frustrated. Those stupid scales get us every time. I'm glad you are still around. Take it one day at a time...sometimes hour by hour when necessary. Just remember that one bad meal does not have to ruin all your day. Make the next one count. Even if it is every other one for a few days is still moving forward. You can do it!

    Kristin - You sound like I was last week. But it's a new week, and now with your wonderful opportunity of sleeping through the night with Kadence, you're definitely back in the game.

    Cathy - Sorry about the snow. It's funny. I remember when you were excited because you hadn't seen snow in so many years. Now, the forecast of snow here only meets groans and exasperation. We'll think SPRING together and hopefully it will work.

    Amy (pdx) - It is so hard to go back to work after having the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom. But you can do it. Your kids were very fortunate to get their formidable years with you, and you've been a good basis. (hugs)

    Rhiannon - You are a SUCCESS! Your pictures prove it. You can do this. Your fat cells already know what they are in for so they are fighting a little harder this time. But you will conquer.

    Kelly - Give us your positive energy. Keep us going strong.

    Pam - Congrats on avoiding the bug.

    Verda - Thrilled to hear the meds are working for you.

    ali258 - Your positivity will be a wonderful habit by the end of Lent.

    from the beck diet.....day 1--make an index card and put all the reasons why you want to lose weight/get healthy. read it several times a day. carry it with you.

    running errands today. found a treadmill on craigs list. too bad the person won't respond to my emails. will keep looking.

    I feel the thyroid medicine is helping but it just has'nt quite dropped the weight yet. I'm confident that it will though! I truly hope we ALL hit our goal THIS six weeks!! Let's ROCK!!!!!

    Whoo hoo!!!!! I did it!!!! I made my goals yesterday. Well, OK, I was a little short on the walking (1.8 miles instead of 2) and short on my water (8 cups instead of 9), but I did my exercise dvd warm up, circuit 1 and started circuit 3. Circuit 2 is just way too hard right now, so I passed it for the moment. I didn't get through even half of circuit 3, but I'm so proud of myself for getting through the part I did. It was intense!! I also logged everything I ate yesterday. I was only over by just under 500 cals!! I'm not really "watching" what I eat right now as I continue to get my energy level back up, but I started logging to get myself back into the habit.

    Lula - That's great about the weight loss!! Those birth control pills can do some horrible things to some of us! I'm one of them too.

    Verda - I'm glad you're getting your thyroid regulated. It is amazing how much the thyroid regulates in our bodies!

    Ladies, I'm back in the game. I'm back to empowered and moving forward!! I'm an unstoppable force!!! :bigsmile:

    I'm starting to pinpoint some of my eating faults and fix 'em.

    #1. Diet sodas: I use to have 1 a day at lunch. My 'treat'. My caffeine. But back in the day, I would work out after lunch, come back and have an afternoon post-workout snack. Now, I have TWO sodas a day.... diet sodas.... I've been told diet sodas are terrible to make you hungry. THAT HOLDS TRUE FOR ME. Since I'm not currently working out (money issues... gotta bite the bullet somehow), drinking 2 diet sodas, and still hungry and eating all the time.... Well, you guys get the picture. Gotta cut the sodas. Gonna start by cutting to 1 diet soda per day, with lunch. Eventually, I may cut that soda as well. Baby steps.

    #2. Binging: Last night, I ate ice cream. Directly from the freshly opened tub. I ate more than one serving, but I ate it slowly and really tasted it. I stopped myself after approximately 2 - 3 servings (ice cream servings are small, we all know this!). This was not binging..... or maybe I should say it was but it was VERY controlled. It's a start in the right direction.

    #3. Water: I'm not drinking enough of it, and I'm drinking it late in the day instead of early morning. Working on changing this. Water will help me feel full. Water will help my mood. Water is my friend. (lol)

    #4. Smoking: Gotta cut back. I need to start working out again. I crave running. I cannot run and be a heavy smoker. When I was running, I only smoked one cigarette a day, sometimes even skipping a day of smoking. I need to work towards this again.

    #5. Working out: I need to bite the bullet, join the gym, and start back up. I miss it. My body NEEDS it. Physically and mentally.

    So I've started back on the path to a healthy me.

    Kristin, Kadence's seemingly endless cold might be the precusor or even the actual event of teething. Kiddo would run a low grade fever, have a runny nose, and sometimes even diarrea. Just a thought. Also, it's tough being a mom to an infant and still taking care of yourself. Each day is a new day, and you are making FANTASTIC progress, so allow yourself some "off days" and keep smiling!!

    Cathy, did you get that snow yesterday? We got it here in NC.

    AmyPDX, hey girl!! Let's try to work you out of that funk! I've been in one as well but am determined to come out of it!

    Rhiannon, I didn't get to read your FB email yet, but I saw a preview of it (through an email from FB....). We are here for you!! And I will respond to it as soon as I can.

    Well ladies... I got on the scale and it told me 201! I haven't been two hundred since maybe May last year. LOL. These hormones and whatever else is going on in my body WILL NOT KILL MY MOTIVATION. I will succeed anyway! I'm starting MARCH WITH A SMILE AND I WILL KEEP MARCHING UNTIL IT ENDS! WHEW... glad thats off the chest. Seriously ladies, the numbers are just that sometimes, its best if we learn other ways to measure, like taking measurements or clothes, bc it will make us know we are still moving in the right direction!

    I love my sixer friends! Here's to another Challenge!!!! YAY!!!

    Lauryn- Its okay to feel frustrated... NEWS ALERT... You are joining us and your motivation returned. I knew you would do it. You are still one of the strongest people I know and I'll never forget how positive you have been, through it all. When I first met you, I said... I can be positive too! Thanks for that!

    Kristin- We all get down sometimes but you will figure out the formula for you new mommy lifestyle. Its coming. Keep working hard!

    Cathy- great job with the nutritionist and trainer. I'm proud of you! YAY!!! Keep it up. Your dog sounds like he is in for a fun filled week. I agree with you about the sun and spring. I'm waiting too! Glad to see you reading the BECK book again, it has great principals!

    Well ladies... I got lots of rest, worked out at home to a dvd and another one is coming soon, either another dvd or my elliptical. I'm ready to SPRING into action and I'm doing multiple workouts a day to prove it!

    Alison-- I So agree when y ou try to plan your weeks food ... you do a better job of sticking to it ... then when you are tired and trying to come up with something to cook or eat ! so proud of you for being positive about Lent... and trying to find the good in all this strange weather !

    Emmie-- isnt that so true ! i swear this cold had everyone gloomy ! hahah ! you WILL lose the water weight (and yes i do believe 1.4 is prolly ALL water) ! xoxo

    Tamm-- Awww ... I remember that day when i went over 200 ... it was three weeks before my wedding due to allergic reaction to birth control ! MAN WAS I frustrated and depressed over it ! (esp being only 18 at the time)! i so agree too ! My weight has stayed near 264-265 ... fluctuating ... yet my clothes feel AWESOME .... and some that didnt fit FIT now ... so the number isnt the only thing to go by ! I AGREE 100% thanks.... I love being a life half FULL kinda gal ! ...

    Thanks everyone for all the wonderful feed back!!!! Well shred report here....Level 1 Day 2 complete. It was a whole lot easier today. I am however very sore but found that shredding was easier than yesterday. I have eaten very good today except for the few french fries I stoled off Tonys plate at lunch then dredged them through blue cheese dressing. I did only eat 1/2 of my turkey burger. For breakfast I had my same ole egg and toast with laughing cow lite cheese. For dinner I am going to have a salad. So today was a pretty good day. Oh yeah I will be having a glass of chardonny too.

    It sounds like everyone is doing good.

    Tiff I hope you feel better soon. I just got over the yuckkies a few weeks ago.

    Amypry Good job on your fresh start too.

    Thanks everyone! I got in a pretty good workout today though I was tired. I get sleepy around 9 and then don't want to wake up until the last minute. but I'll keep pushing. (I am going to bed early, and my posts will have to be short til I feel better. sorry :sad: :flowerforyou: )

    Hey all!!

    Ugh, heck of a week so far!! Busy busy busy! And we have our first BIG test on Tuesday. I'm kind of nervous and trying not to cover the nervousness with food. haha.

    Lauryn - oh my goodness, reading your post about your food weaknesses and such was so helpful. it is too amazing how if we actually sit here and think about these things we can actually pinpoint what they are. but yet when i'm choosing to eat/do them, I don't think about it at all!! So here's my list. :)

    #1 ICE CREAM!!! So for a really long time i haven't eaten ice cream unless it was at a restaurant. I wouldn't have it in the house. But then after this silly breakup think i have been inhaling it. And BUYING it to have at home. That seriously needs to stop. I firmly believe if you have treats all the time they lose the privilege of being a "treat"

    #2 Eating out. I'm in school so convenience food is way too easy and way to accessible. And i'm totally spending way too much money on it as well when i'm perfectly capable of cooking.

    #3 Same as Lauryn, WATER! I wish every time i was hungry I would drink water first. I'm sure it would go away!

    #4 COFFEE!!! I know it is my biggest weakness......but there are just some things I'm not going to be able to give up! haha!
