Beatles, much more well-rounded and versatile. Three great musicians.

As a lifelong Zeppelin FANATIC, I'd have to believe each member (singlularly) was likely more accomplished in his particular specialty than his "Fab Four" counterpart. While I would personal chose Zeppelin as the "better" of the two bands (when considering overall music creativity, style, diversity, etc), the notion is purely subjective and arbitrary......as they were contemporaries in neither timing nor genre.

Well, who would you pick? This seems to be a popular debate.

I am going with the Beatles to get it started.

This is almost an impossible choice.

If I had to pick though I would roll with Led Zep.

    Can I pick neither?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that your music taste may suck.

Beatles are overrated, usually by people who smoked a little too much during that era, or people who want to prove how 'with it' they supposedly are by judging music on x, y, or z scale rather than actual enjoyability. Ditto the Rolling Stones. Overrated.

Led Zeppelin had a few good songs, but I fall asleep if I try to listen to a whole CD by them.

I need my rock to have a little more energy.

However they did inspire many to become musicians, form bands, and help the evolution of music, much as we see today. For that they should receive credit. Maybe you should give up smoking

Why do I have to choose?!? *cries*

If I had to pick... The Beatles.

edited... because I am too impatient to ensure I did not make a typographical error in typing "The Beatles"

You can't compare them. Different years (60s for The Beatles, 70s for Zeppelin) and very different styles. Both
