    It took me almost exactly a year (1 year today in fact). I started at 156.8 lbs on 1/24/12. This morning, I weighed in at 136.2. Don't worry about how long it takes, the key is patience. Stick to it and it WILL come off :)

    I havent lost 20 yet. But I am into my 4th week now and last time I weighed in (the beginning of the week so exactly 3 weeks in) I was down 7 pounds as well. I think that it is a realistic goal to shoot for 20 in 3 months. Good luck!

    It took me about 10 months to lose 20 pounds. I only have about 5 pounds to go, maybe 10.

    When I first started, I lost 5 lbs a week for the first three weeks, but then it slowed to 1 or 2 lbs per week. It really depends on your starting weight.

    7 pounds in 3 weeks is great! Don't set yourself up for failure by expecting to lose weight really fast and then becoming discouraged. ANY steady weight loss every week is great progress!

    It took me 5-6 weeks. Note that that was from a starting weight of 292 and a BMI of 43%.

    I started MFP on 1/09/2013. I've lost 8.6 pounds as of today. So I'd say a little over a month or about 2 for me. :)

    I only had 30lbs to loose so my first 20 took almost 5 months because I was building muscle at the same time. Don't try going super speed or you'll only gain it back. Remember it's a life style that you want to create, not a fad :flowerforyou: FANTASTIC JOB SO FAR!
