Week 3: going for 3000
Mon: 385 (35 min aerobics dvd, 20 min yoga)
Tues: 568 (45 min elliptical, 10 min yoga)
Wed: "rest"
Thurs: 609 (20 min walk, 40 min elliptical)
Fri: 400 (35 min elliptical)
Sat:400 (worked an extra shift, loading/unloading wedding cakes, one venue was 6 trips upstairs to 2nd floor reception)

Weekly Goal: 3723
Mon: 531= 35 min 3 m @ 5.2 mph, 15 min - strength training
Tues: 622= 5 min warmup, 50 min @ 3.5 mph/8% incline, cool down
Wed: 517= 3 mile speed intervals - 4.5/6.5 mph + strength training
Thur: rest
Fri: 336= 3 mile tempo run, cool down
Sat: 1082= 6.1 mile @ marathon pace, strength training

Everyone's goals are different and based on what we beleive we can acheive. I started at 3500 because that is the amount of calories in 1 lb and I figured it would be a good goal for me. I knew I would have to push myself to make it, but that I could if I really set my mind to it.
So my suggestion: Look at your average currently and add a few hundred extra to push yourself.
Another option is to set your goal at 3500 and push yourself until you reach it. Then add some more.

Good week! It was the first one of workout after a knee injury,so I did set the calories a little low ,not knowing if I was going to be able to workout at all.Happy that everything was OK and no pain!! Next week I'll bump my calories up a little...also excited that I got a new HRM,and so I'll hopefully will have a more accurate amount calories burned!! Have a great Sunday,everyone!!0 -

Tues: 138 (walking to & from commuter lot, 10 min = 1 way, walked & played with dogs after work)
Wed: 684 (running 8 miles in the AM @ 10 min/mile!)
Thur: 337(running with the dogs, walking around campus, more playing with the dogs)
Fri: 404 (legs, back and HIIT -- I upped my weights on my deadlift, squats, renegade rows, lat pull downs, and the leg press as well as the time of the HIIT)

Lucia, I use a HRM to calculate calorie burn instead of MFP or the machines. I'm guessing it's closer to the truth.0

Tues: 1280 calories (353 arke class, 625 spinning, rest of them walking to work and to the gym).
Wed: 1404 calories (454 cross training, 588 spinning, rest of them walking to work and to the gym).
Thur: 300 (ish - walking to and from both jobs)
Fri: 1356 (409 vipr class, 615 spinning class, the rest walking to work and the gym).
Sat: 691 (in the gym - stationary bike, 2 different eclipsers, rowing and weights)
Sun: 1040 (in the gym - staionary bike, 2 different eclipsers, rowing and weights and walking to and from gym)

Thursday........800 Calories........522 burned in a 22 minute treadmill workout...30% or higher incline for 12 minutes of the 22. 278 calories burned walking at a 10-15% incline for 25 minutes.
