ABSOLUTELY hate Burpees and def not a fan of planks. But, I think the 100 burpees a day challenge sounds like a go. Just cuz I am a bad *kitten*.

    Who else is in?

I am, starting tomorrow. Because I am a bad a** too.

I have knee problems so when I started doing Burpees I was worried. Funny thing is I was able to do them. It started slow but now I am much better. So take your time, you will still get the effect of the workout.
Thank you for giving me hope!! This is exactly why I've never tried them, wasn't sure I could with a bit of knee stuff.

So so glad you posted!! :flowerforyou: Thank you:drinker: :drinker:

Definitely going to give them a try after dropping more weight.:blushing:
If someone could just give me some pointers to eventually do a burpee. I haven't done any spring exercises since I was a cheerleader and a dancer...30 years ago. So squating down and jumping up off the floor is a little taxing on the knees. I know I need to lose about 20 pounds and I hope this will enable me to do a burpee. I have done mountain climbers but my burpee is squating down, jumping out, back to a squat and then barely standing up. I do squats, dead lifts, lunges (hate 'em) but burpees are a struggle. Heck, just getting up off the floor is a struggle.

So if there are any 50 plus folks out there that could give me pointers on how to condition my body to eventually do a burpee, I would greatly appreciate it.
I'll be waiting right next to you for those pointers:laugh: , though Youtube is a great resource to see it in action...

I don't think I've ever had a client that I didn't do burpees (or a modified version for some of my challenged clients) with. Personally I don't mind doing them.

I love burpees. I feel like a total BAMF doing them :P

For some weird reason I cannot STAND planks. Static planks, twisting planks, whatever, I HATE THEM! I don't even know why because I semi "enjoy" / can tolerate push-ups... But planks. Ugh! No! Just hate them. The weirdest thing is that I know I can hold a 2 minute plank, but I literally have to force myself to get through the first 30 seconds haha - it takes every shred of willpower trust me. I just hate them. No clue why.

Also hate supermans / superman bananas... Just feels so unnatural heh.

Oh oh oh and I HATE side lunges!! My body never wants to go that way xD

And what is your modified version, please? I am "challenged" by my knees.

Burpees are pretty difficult to do quick when you heavy like me. I have done some, but I don't do them often yet. I'm waiting till I get a bit more in shape. They are great exercise though.

I hate up & down planks. Start in a plank, lower yourself onto your forearms, raise back up to straight arms. Ugggh.

I hate burpees with a passion, but love how I feel after they are done. I also hate push-ups, always have - always will.
