If you expect it from women, better believe we expect it from you!
My first love was goddess material, and she had harrier legs and pits than me! ;-) I like it either way with women. Natural or trimmed. But it is gay for men to do it. Someone had to say it.

I hate to disillusion your prejudice (this is sarcasm), but the gays, like myself, that I hang with have a saying: 'Don't pluck it, *kitten* it.'

I don;t think he was calling people gay or trying to insult gay people lol

Yeah, yeah he was. I called him out and he claimed that it's not bigoted because homosexuality is a choice, unlike being born a racial minority. So what were you saying again?

ETA : Direct quote from the poster who used "gay":

"Nah, you are elevating a lifestyle choice to a racial ancestery or a gender. That is degrading to both women, who had to fight for equal rights and for other races that had to do the same."

SO please, don't defend that guy unless you mean that too.

I don't think being gay is a choice but I just took his comment as being said in a joking sarcastic kind of way like when someone says those pants look gay or thats so gay. I just understood the comment differently than you did thats all.

I understand how you see it -- how you see it allies you with bigots. What I am saying to you and what you seemed to have missed is: saying "that's so gay" when you mean to say that something is weird, laughable, bad or any other degrading adjective is seriously uncool. Accepting that kind of language as humor allows people like the person who wrote it, who went on to express homophobic view points in his defense, to exist comfortably in our society, while people who have done nothing to nobody are mocked, tormented, and discriminated against. That's abhorrent.

This thread is about manscaping -- all kinds of people are completely smooth. All kinds of people hairy. Personal grooming has nothing to do with sexuality. Just like pants has nothing to do with sexuality.

Ignorance of an offence is sometimes as bad as committing the offence itself. Just because you don't understand the impact of a word on a group of people doesn't mean it has no impact. Just cause you are using a word with no malice in mind doesn't mean it won't cause no malice. Imagine a gay person in a room filled with people who kept using the word gay in a negative manner to describe every little thing they thought was bad/funny looking/abnormal, how is that gay person suppose to feel, if all those around him using what he is to describe everything that isn't normal?

I personaly do not use the word in offensive ways, all I was doing was pointing out that he may have ment the comment in a way that was not intentionally ment to offend and for the record I pefer my man to be either trimmed or bald.
  • My wife prefers it all shaven off. So, that's how it is. And if it makes it more attractive to her then that's what is important.

I personally think manscaping is a must. Just like woman-scaping is! :) But whatever floats your boat! :)

I think trimming is fine, but it would take me hours weekly to shave my body and it would look stupid. As far as taking the hair "off places we put out mouths" I think some ladies are exagerating their prowess and throat sports or are dating men with micropenises, unless he has some disease that made his tip look like a treasure troll.

I've said this before and I'll say it again . . . think of all the places you'd want a woman's mouth on your body and proceed accordingly.

    All the manscaping!
Well, I'm kidding. At least scape the body areas that you expect to have someone put the mouth on / near. For courtesy.

    AGREED!!

This. Please. I already floss on my own.

Is it too long if I have to use this on it?

Do whatever is right for you and your partner. I never did and then started to do a general "brushkeeping." I knock down the high brush making sure there is minimal risk of a loose one down the windpipe. (sorry for the visual) If I get a request for the full knockdown I will do that from time to time but hate it. I don't know how you ladies deal with the itching of growing back. It sucks...

Trimming is sufficient, I don't want to feel like I'm having sex with a 14-year old!!!

pretty much what I was going to say. I like men a little hairy.

This, I am fine with chest/back, whatever. Hair is fine but I don't want to be able to braid your pubes, please keep that **** tamed with scissors.

Also, if you want me to play with your ahem..., I would prefer not to have to venture through the forest.
  • I don't like to floss while i'm tea bagging....just sayin'

Yes! It goes both ways. You men want us to stay smooth and sexy so if you're extra hairy, you should trim and shave.

Not sure when this whole trend began, but definitely resist the urge to blindly conform with the rest of the herd. Personally, I never demand my wife "fem-scape", or worse, and I've yet to figure out why the whole pre-pubescent (i.e. shaved) look has become all the rage.

It's ok to trim but if your bald down there I'm only left to assume you just had crabs.

I can't imagine not fem scaping, what about when wearing a bathing suit and such. Or if I want to keep getting my husband down there, I keep it inviting looking. Don't want him getting lost!
