I am set to eat at least 2000 right now. I JUST began lifting myself, but I'm not sure you could call what I'm doing "heavy lifting" (even though it might be considered that when you have as little strength as I do). Haven't been upping calories on lifting days because I have no idea how much I should be adding, and since I'm not trying to just bulk, but to lose fat, it's just a mess. I was wondering if a HRM would help on lifting days, but I can't imagine it would help determine the amount of calories to add at all, since it's not cardio...0

1700-2100....I lost a few pounds..would like to lose more...doing heavy lifting and 20 min of Hiit cardio after...Mon/Wed/Fri0

I eat between 1200 - 1500 and ive lost 18.6 lbs in a little over 3 weeks.0

I am kinda extreme but I swear I don't feel like I am starving. I am down around 1500 per day, give or take. Only doing about 500Cal burn in exercise a day right now.
Should add, I'm 5'11, 207, and in "decent" shape. Just some serious pudge.
Oh and 43.0 -
Doing 1600 after bulking for winter. I went from 200lb to 141lb with my target at 1490 but with a cheat day every week or two.0

Im around 1600-1700 a day but I do cardio 6x week, at least 75 mins. I just don't feel like eating much sometimes. Sometimes out of guilt, sometimes out of just not being hungry.0

Good to see so many additonal responses. Hopefully these answers will help other guys trying to figure out how much they need to eat, since it was a fantastic help to me!0

That's me. Extreme. 1,200-1,400 per day right now. I'm 5'10" and gone from 247 to 228 in my first 4 weeks. I know it's too low, but I like the results and I'm not feeling like I'm starving. I'm not concerned about losing muscle right now, I can gain that back pretty easily if I think I lost too much. Plus, I'm not trying to look like I'm a professional body builder. But I love seeing the beach ball at my waist deflating as fast as it is.0 -

I'm around 2100-2300 (Training days, Rest days and Refeed days). I lift 5 days a week with 5 cardio sessions on top of that.
Currently cutting on a high carb, high protein and low fat flexible diet.
Are you cutting or bulking?0 -
2400 and I eat my exercise calories back. My appetite gets me sometimes0
-
22-2500 kcal daily. Hopefully, gaining, though may need to ramp the cals up a bit.
I'm surprised at how low some people on here eat - I'd lose weight eating less than 1800, and I'm tiny.0 -
4500-5200. Heavy lifting/bodybuilding. Trying to gain weight. When dieting down, around 3000-35000
