Double bras, anyone?

I did the double bra thing for awhile and it worked, until I lost enough weight that it didn't work anymore, had to give up running until I'm down to closer to my goal. Can't keep buying $50+ bras every 3 or 4 weeks. I love boobies, but sometimes they are more trouble than they are worth. :grumble:0

Lucky you, a sports vest and nought else sorts me, but my blessed friend used to wear a sports bra and a lycra sports vest with supports over it. She got no more black eyes0

I use a Freya one at the moment, it's actually pretty good. I have a major uniboob, but I'm somewhere between an F and a G (depends on the brand) so I don't mind so long as I'm not in agony and don't give myself a black eye. The annoying thing is that the more weight I've lost, the less it fits, so now I need to spend loads on another one!
And to the poster a few before me: Mine's from Bravisimo too!
Edit: I posted at the same time as the person before me, wasn't stealing their black eye comment haha0 -
Absolutely not. I am a FF cup and wear a sports bra with actual cups. My boobs wouldn't move if a hurricane blew thru town.
Get thee to Nordstrom; they carry cups sizes to J.0 -
blah, why where a bra? I did my work out bra-less last night, gave the hubby something to watch0
-
I'm another one that double bags it, I don't want these babies to move at all so I wear two sports bras to keep them in place. Back in the good ol' days when I was thin and fit, I still wore a sports bra under one of my sport tanks that supposedly had built in support, it was never supportive for me. I'm a fan of Under Armour Sports Bras but there's one at Target by Champion that I like too, whatever the most supportive one they have is, still double 'em up though.0

Is uniboob really so bad? Who cares about uniboob, you're out to get a workout and get sweaty!
I care0 -
I havent found a sports bra that keeps everything in place by itself (I'm a DD) so when I work out I wear two sports bras.
It's not the best, but it keeps them from hitting me in the face...:ohwell:0 -

If I did that I think I would cry from the pain... however, he must be a happy man!0 -
I wear a Berlei sports bra with a Champion crop top over the top.
Ive also got an Enell bra, but I find it too hot to wear.0 -
I'm an f - I wear the best supportive sports bra I can find, go a bit smaller if possible, then wear a croptop/cami-bra in at least one size smaller over the top - strap 'em in and strap 'em up!! Ain't much moving after that :happy:0
-
After I bought my first ever champion bra I don't think I'll buy another brand, D cup here.0

I found that a good minimizer bra seems to work better for me than a sports bra. The sports bras that I was trying were more useless than a regular bra for jogging. Or maybe I just wasn't willing to spend enough on a really good sports bra? I was a 36DD but think my size went down (yay!).0
-
Im a 32D and wear champions sports bras over my regular bra... and i have one sports bra from old navy that is actually pretty comfie and supportive (with a regular bra under)0
-
Thanks for all the replies....have just started running, so will look in to these suggestions to get the girls strapped down better!:happy:0
-
I must double bra it! I have a bra size of 42K !!! I might be a J cuz I have quad boob at the moment. I mean when you're that big what do you do???0
-
I know Nike used to have a couple of bras that worked well for me. I don't know what they're carrying now, but if you can find something that works it's worth the investment.0
-
Im an G and i wear to sports bars and a gym singlet with a supportive shelf, I find it really hard to find good sports bras so always double up...sometimes if thats not doing the trick i wear as bra as well as to really strap them in!0
-
when running i had to resort to two bras. I would wear an encapsulation type and a compression style over it.
LARGE BREASTED LADIES, I CAN'T STRESS IT ENOUGH. DON'T CHEAP OUT ON A SPORTS BRA!!!! YOU NEED THE SUPPORT. YOU WILL BE MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE WORKING OUT. IF YOU CAN, GO TO A BRA STORE AND GET PROPERLY FIT AND TRY A BUNCH ON. ONCE YOU KNOW WHICH ONES WORK FOR YOU, LOOK FOR DEALS ON THE INTERNET.
i've always found the Enell bra to be the bra of last resort. shock absorber goes all the way to a UK H (up to Universal D8). great bras.0 -
I always do double bras. I have no intention of spending a fortune on a bra until I'm at my goal size. I use an older underwire bra under a standard high-impact compression bra. I am a 34D/32DD.0

I have tried everything and am super HUGE busted.
a lot of what the ladies are recommending is highly overated and overpriced garbage.
If you want a really great bra:
1-Freya Active. I prefer the non wired original style.
2- Panache
3- shock absorber, but they are really ugly and hard to find the right size.0 -

i agree, Enell is overpriced garbage that only sells because big busted women don't know the better things out there and trust Oprah.
Shock absorber is better, but very small In most styles, so wont fit the truly BIG busted.
Freya and Panache are both better than all of the above.0 -
I wear a Medium bra top and a sports bra when I go running. It holds them in place. Those bras are pretty expensive. I'm a DD and I don't have $50 to pay for those bras just to go running. I had to do it my own way. LOL.0

I wear a bra and a sports bra whenever I workout. Especially if jumping or running is involved0
-
No matter what I am doing I need a bra that has underwire, if it has underwire good straps over the shoulder and around the waist I am good0
-
Shock Absorber is the only ones I will wear. Well worth the money!!!! I am a size F, just graduated down a size. I good sports bra is one of the best things you can invest in IMO.0

34F .... so yeah, double bra LOL. One day maybe there will be good sports bras out there....
Spoke with a owner of a lingerie shop in my city and she had a sample bra that she will be getting in stock in April I think she said, it looks really good I didn't try it because it wasn't my size, but it seemed to avoid the "pointy" issue some bigger sports bras have. Here's hopeing! Until then, double bra lol
edit: the new bra is by freya0 -

they carry almost nothing in a J. But i suppose they have more than anything else in the US.
and no sports bras are actually made above an H actually. Maybe Shock Absorber but those are so small, you'd need an "O" cup if you were an actual J!0 -
I'm a 34DD and buy Old Navy sports bras in a size medium. I don't have any comfort issues and everything stays where it should... for $10.0
