When I can't eat snow, I go to the store and run my hands across the frozen meat section to scrape the ice off. Samesies, right?0
-
You're eating it, not drinking it, so no, it doesn't count.
LOL'ed :happy:0 -

Mine too. It made me cry.. from laughing of course. Can I count the calories burnt from that??0 -
I would not eat snow at all if i were you. Putting the planet aside, its bad for YOU! Snow exposes you to excessive bacteria and potential hazards. It does not matter if its freshly fallen or not. Consuming snow in large quantities can lower your core temperature. According to the Canada Safety Council, the real danger is the large amount of bacteria is in snow.
The most abundant bacteria was Pseudomonas syringae, a bacteria that causes diseases in beans and tomatoes. The amount of bacteria in snow is comparable to the amount of bacteria children are exposed to when they play in dirt.
oh no... does this mean I have to boil it first to remove the bacteria? and then re-freeze it? In which case...
If I eat ice cubes... does that count towards my water intake?
Again, you would have to EAT an ice cube so you can't count it towards water. You would have to add the calories.0 -

hmmm... that's a tough one... I think so... but only if you log it as "shaking it at my desk"0 -

I say we eat it instead of shoveling it. Then it counts as both water and workout.
haha YES! Don't even dig out the shovel. Just eat it off the sidewalks. Water for you and calories burned. Winnnnnn0 -
16 glasses of snow melted = 8 glasses of water.
16 glasses of yellow snow melted = 6 glasses of water and 2 glasses of "ew".
So do the math.0 -
Lol. Have your husband use you like a wheelbarrow, he burns, you burn and get water!!!!!!!!!I say we eat it instead of shoveling it. Then it counts as both water and workout.

I suggest a shot of vodka for your general health.
Does THAT count as water?
Only if you're Russian. Or drink it with a Russian accent.0 -

I imagine the parts where you have to chip away to get down to the sidewalk may be bad on the teeth... any suggestions?
What about gravel driveways? Should I suck the snow off each stone? Will the lime in the rocks be detrimental to my health?0 -

This website is so full of know-it-alls who know absolutely nothing.
Listen, I'm a chemist.* Most wodka is like 40% alcohol or 80 proof. What do you think the other 60 percent is?? WATER. To get your 8 glasses you just need to drink 13 glasses to get 8 glasses worth of water.

You're doing great. Just call 911 or whatever the canadian equivalent is, and leave it off the hook while you finish the last 9 8-ounce glasses of vodka. That way in case you get sleepy they'll already be on the way.
