Isn't the beaver *kitten* vegetarian because it is excreted by the animal, just like milk?
No. They have to kill the beaver to get the sac.

I'm one of those crazy (actually really common) vegetarians that isn't offended by meat. I grill a mean steak (so I've been told). But it doesn't suck to be me because I don't feel I'm denying myself anything by not eating meat. It's just...like...not even food to my mind. So I don't feel like I'm on some fast or that I can't stop thinking about that steak or whatever.
You go enjoy your meat.
And I'll enjoy my whatever I'm eating today...
I was referring to going to a restaurant (and the one I listed happens to be one of the best at it in the country, behind maybe Fogo de Chao) where 98% of the food served you can't eat. That's the part that sucks, not the lifestyle choice (though I certainly couldn't do it).0 -

oooh....I see....my bad.
Yeah it does kinda suck when there's not a lot of veggie options. My friends like to go out for chicken wings- this one place the only vegetarian option is french fries, which I don't like so much. But still...I go and enjoy their company and eat some fries and it's all good. I don't go there for the food- I go there for the great company0 -
I have a couple of friends who self-identify as vegetarians, but who are what I might call 'situational' pescatarians. In other words, they prefer to be veg, but will eat fish/seafood if there's no veg option or if it's going to cause a major hassle of some sort. And I get that. I even get why they ID as vegetarians under a lot of circumstances, because it makes it easier for them to eat their preferred way. There are a lot of people out there who seem unable to grasp the concept of a middle ground.
But still, I agree. It muddies the definition to have all these folks calling themselves vegetarian when what they really mean is that there is SOME type of meat they don't eat. Even I find it annoying, and I'm the most omnivorean omnivore that ever om-nommed. But food psychology is weird and I will never completely understand it.0
