BUMP FOR LATER REVIEW!0

I'm 5'8", 27, with 2 kids. l weighed 235 during both pregnancies and was still 215 when my youngest was over a year old in Nov 2009 when I decided to take control of my health and lose the weight. It took me about 6 months to lose 55lbs and I had maintained around 160 ever since. I kind of fell off the exercise and healthy eating wagon about 9 months ago though and was just feeling run down and looking flabby. I started an *amazing* workout program called Turbofire on 11/12/12 and have lost an additional 20 lbs and finally lost the belly pooch and am in the best shape of my life.
Turbofire 12 week results
Before pics - It was really hard to find any photos that had my belly in it. I avoided pictures period.
I'm at about the same weight as you started at, and I'm the same height. I'm glad to know that you can look GREAT at 140-60, and not 120, like some people hope to be. Also, glad for a tall woman who is looking GREAT!0 -
SW: 148. I was 126 in the second pic (currently 7 months pregnant in my profile pic).
Holly crap woman! You look fabulous!0 -
My SW 198lb/89.9kg and during at 62kg/136lb (about 4kg/9lb ago):
And a week ago somewhere between 129lb and 130lb or about 58.5kg/59kg:
And the side during at 136lb/62kg.... (I'm 128lb now and it's even better!):
I'm 5'4" and a mummy and I've been fat since I was 7 or 8 - so there's hope for everyone!!

Thanks for the compliments!
I figure since that last photo is from February, I should likely include an update:
WOW! You look amazing! Your body type is a lot like mine except it seems I may be a bit more of a pear. But otherwise, it is. This is amazing! It proves that slow weight loss (not too slow, but slow) is the best way to go!0 -
All of your before and after shots are truly an inspiration. There is hope for me. Keep up the great work ladies, you all look fantastic!0

We may have similar body shapes, then, because measurement-wise I'm certainly a pear. I'm glad I've taken progress pictures, though, because it turns out I'm not as exaggerated a pear as I'd imagined. I used to think my bum and hips were disproportionally large, but now when I review my photos, I realize my body is pretty proportional and that I need to stop being so critical. Below is the front-shot which shows my hips that are larger than my waist and chest, hence the pear shape.

Yours looks a lot like mine! I was never really big but having fat in the bottom of my tummy made it look like I was. I am glad to know that I am not alone in that case. How did you do it? My body keeps making my stomach be the last target!0

9 or 10 months apart. 160 to 127, 5"5
That's my goal!! What is your routine? How many calories? You look so amazing!!0 -
Not gone (I still have SOO far to go!!), but shrinking -- I feel hopeful! This has been over 3 months.
I was mortified at what my lower abdomen looked like after having my daughter. The first 2 months of good weight loss didn't seem to touch my tummy, but then the third month showed a noticeable difference to me.
your legs look so much more toned! well done0 -
Thanks for the compliments!

I just found this link with excercises for reducing the lower tummy "pooch". **disclaimer, it does say a healthy diet and regular workout plan** This isn't the be-all end-all but I thought it was appropriate for those of us with that as a problem area. Some of the moves look pretty fun, too.
