Less than I'm worth, plus overtime and bonuses. It comes at a price though, every day in that place is 2 days off my life.

I'm a teacher. I work part time, but if I worked full time I'd be on £32,000 a year. A full time teacher usually teaches for around 21 or 22 hours a week, and we get 13 weeks paid holiday a year. Obviously we do planning and marking and so on in our own time.

    Not nearly enough for :
sticking my fingers in the vaginas of total strangers, sticking sharp objects in their veins, cleaning up ALL kind of bodily fluids with a smile, keeping a straight face when the obviously wasted patient assures me she hasn't done drugs since she found out she was pregnant, keeping a straight face when the patient and spouse with the O Positive blood types have a B negative baby, keeping a straight face when wording questions to the brand new doctors to make him/her think the brilliant suggestion was his/hers, keeping a straight face when the crunchy granola/all natural patient doesn't want an epidural but is shrieking at the top of her lungs at 2 cms (8more to go), not cursing out loud when the fetal heart monitor shows distress half an hour before the shift change and we're running to the OR and a lot more fun stuff.

This labor and delivery nurse is underpaid and happy to currently be on vacation.

More than I should for sitting on MFP and reading the news most of the day.

What a coincidence! That's how much I make, too.

I'm a student and work three different jobs at my university. $10 an hour for two of them, and $12.50 for the third one. :)

Currently I make $0 an hour. I prefer to classify myself as a housewife instead of unemployed.

Before I was laid off I was a Loss Prevention Investigator for a large retail company making $18 an hour.

Can't say how much I earn per hour I do not want to give that out..However, in one job, I am a janitor.

Now, I can tell you this job with no problem. I muck out horse stalls on the weekend. I get 45 dollars every time I do that job.

    Not bad money.

I actually love this. I've been wondering what careers make what money since I've been thinking about going back to school.

I'm currently a waitress at two different jobs in the Pacific Northwest. I make $8.90/hr (this is my states min. wage) and average $5-$15/hr in tips. Every two weeks after all the taxes are taken from my check (The government assumes I make 10% tips so I get taxed on my sales so I don't owe at the end of the year) my checks average about $100 for one job and $200 for the other. I work 38-45 hours a week, but take home about $2,000-$2,800 or so a month. It can vary quite a bit depending on shifts, hours, tips, and season.

Great money, but it takes a SERIOUS toll on the body. My sleep schedule is wrecked, my social life is non-existent, I'm pretty sure I tore something in my shoulder from carrying trays for the last 6 years and my joints in general just hurt. Plus I don't have health insurance and neither one of my employers offers anything outside of extremely expensive "catastrophe insurance".
