You look good and feel good so who cares what the scale says. We should all break up with that rotten scale.
Congrats on being awesome!0 -
You look Fab!!!!!
Thanks for posting proof that it's just a number. (I forget sometimes)0 -
im with you on this!! i weighed in on friday and it said 170.8 then on TODAY it SCREAMED.. 180!!! IM OVER IT0

:laugh:0 -
Thank you for posting! I've been eating very well and working out everyday and losing nothing, or in the case of the last week, gaining a pound. The scale can kiss my *kitten*, too! I know it might be for a medical reason that this is happening, but my psyche can't take this crap! You go girl!0
-
You look fit and strong. I rarely weight myself (unless I'm pretty sure I've lost, lol), and it's getting more and more infrequent. I totally hear you on the zipped jeans vs. muffin top, too!0
-
I'm 58 and I can honestly say I can count the number of times I weighed myself on my hands! Of course since joining MFP Jan 1, 2013 . . . I DO try to find a scale now and then just so I can post what I weigh. BUT . . . at my age, if I FEEL good and can handle what I see in the mirror . . . I'm good. :flowerforyou: Just sayin' And BTW . . . you look GREAT!0

I'd love to be your size at that weight. I'm 141 right now and size 8/10!0

In your case, scales and weighing just slow you down! You are already "there"! I mean you have really arrived at a great place. Now you are only tracking what you eat and your exercise. You make me want to take up Kung Fu! (I better find some kind of movement I like.)0

Good for you, but be careful. The last time I tossed the scales (in my Diets Don't Work/Intuitive Eating phase), my weight climbed more than 40 pounds. I knew it was climbing, but I had no idea it was that much.
I absolutely hear you, but I personally don't put on weight easily...I just don't lose it either I've been clinging to the dream of a willowy figure for way too long!
Don't worry about the scale and forget the willowy thing. Strong is sexy and cool, be strong! Lift weights if you want to change your shape and drop body fat whilst hanging on to your muscle. I think you look really great as you are NOW, but if you want to change anything, I'd simply start a strength training program and eat to support that.0 -
YES! I love this post and feel the same way! I'm 5'5" and at 141. I have been trying to break the stupid 140 mark for 2 months and am sick of being obsessed with that number! I'm the mother of a 10 month old and a 3 year old, workout 6 days a week, and eat healthy. The scale can kiss my *kitten*, as well! After starting to strength train with heavier weights the number has inched up every so slightly, but I am firmer and stronger! Plus, I can knock out 35 real push ups IN A ROW now. Not girlie ones, REAL ones! It's all about performance for me now!0

Yes! I do full fingertip pushups as part of my workout, and I wouldn't trade that ability for smaller jeans!0 -
You look great, toss that scale!
I wish I were your weight, it's pretty near my goal though
Currently 5'6" and 152, so 138 would be time for celebrating! You are doing great!!0 -
This!

I hear you.. completely, but who needs a scale when you look like you do!!! Congrats and toss the dang scale over a cliff!!0
-
That behind looks amazing so kick that scale to the curb. You look great!0
-
You look phenomenal! Definitely throw the scale.0
-
I guess you should cause I'm 5'6, 140 lbs and I wear a size 10!0
-
I am 6 inches shorter then you and would love to be in the 130's range, but I know it won't happen.
Anyways, throw out that scale, you look amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
41?! No way! Your *kitten* is fantastic! You look amazing!0

I'm 41, I eat well (and pizza, and drink beer), I do massive amounts of traditional kung fu, and I am done weighing. I'm 5'6", 138 lbs, a size 4/6, and my scale does not tell me anything at all. Here is the (sunburned last week in Maui) *kitten* that it can kiss on its way to the garbage. I've been trying to get to a number for so long, but now I am going to try to get to a waist size...
Thank you for listening.
I very rarely use the scale. I go by look and feel! If you look and feel good, who cares if you'r 138 or 140?0 -
You look terrific =D Good for you!0
-
:drinker:
I told my scale to eff off. Out loud.
There are so many things the little mechanical devil doesn't say. It only gives one number.
You look great. It's clear you work out hard to stay fit. Go you.0 -
Way to go!0
-
Suddenly I want to start doing Kung Fu0
-
Rock on!0
-
OK. I'm 22 and don't have a bum like that! LOVE IT!0
-
I wish i was that scale. I would love when you got on me. I would also love to be those jeans. So close to that great looking body you have. Keep up the great work. We could office space that scale.. :flowerforyou:0
-
If that is the case then id consider your scale very lucky
Seriously though ever since I started heavy strength training Ive hated the scale. I took full body measurements last week and plan to check that every other week. I still do the weigh in once per week but I am hoping to see better results from the measuring.
*ok the guy above me made my little comment feel dirty*0
