28, so not necessarily young OR old...

I like my men as they come. Hairy, smooth, doesn't matter. If it's part of them, it's fine. I've had some lovers whose entire bodies were hairless, and some who could put Harry from Harry and the Hendersons to shame. *shrug*

My husband is not overly hairy... chest, stomach, legs, bits, pits, and a bit on the back of his neck.. but nothing that I could shave "WELCOME" in, and lay him at the front door.

I'm an older lady and I prefer hairless but on the other had a hairy chest is pretty sexy to run your fingers through. I really don't like hairy shoulders or a hairy back though. That's just not attractive especially a lot of hair. Then it's just gross imho.

I'm throwing my lot in with the group of women that don't mind body hair. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it doesn't bother me and even if it did, short of hair removal procedures, it's not something that a person can decide... I guess I think it's just a silly thing to judge a person's worth (or unworthiness to be a partner in a relationship) by something as trivial as hair. It's just hair! Dishonesty, being untrustworthy, laziness, THOSE are flaws. I judge a man by his moral character, not by how fuzzy his shoulders/back are.

If I'd have written off my husband for being hairy, I would have missed out on spending the rest of my life with my
best friend. Besides, there's something sexy and primal about a rugged man... I'm not sharing my 'squatch with you lot, so this poor substitute will have to do.

I do understand it's a matter of personal preference, just my 2 1/2 cents.

Just to clarify, I don't have a problem with 'manscaping', if that's what they want to do, I just don't think we should make men feel bad about having it in the first place.. I don't mind it either way, my husband likes to keep his trimmed, though.

    I'm 38 and I guess it's man-scape for me below for sure! ! !

Chest hair is fine..trimmed if needbe....same for pits

No on the back and shoulders...and I'm happy to help my man with all of this...of course some parts are more fun then others..:laugh:

I prefer trimmed, manscaped, corn husked, whatever term you what to use. A little is good, a lot is not. My husband trims and that is good. I help with his "neckbeard" (his term not mine) and shoulders.

I have never liked a man that was completely bare chested. Could never get into it for some reason.

This one time, at band camp...

    no, actually,

This one time, in Italy, when I was at the Sea for the day, this guy walked by in a pair of bermuda shorts. The hair on his head, trailed down to the middle of his back... but you could hardly tell where it ended, because his body was SO furry, that my first thought was to shave "WELCOME" in it and use him as a doormat.

Casper always comes up with the best topics!

Ok, so IMO I think NO hair makes men look like boys. My son is cute with no hair, my man, not so much! My guy has some chest hair and a line of hair going down from his belly, what I loving call his "happy trail" but I think trim and clean is important.
Back hair, ear hair, neck hair, butt hair (yea I said it!) has to go!
I don't shave my legs in winter :blushing: because I always wear long pants, but once spring comes I get "cleaned up" so I think the guys should as well.

Um... how exactly do you shave your own back? Attach a razer-blade to the wall or something? Or do you actually have to bother someone to do it for you? I'm not so keen on seeking assistance when it comes to personal grooming - seems a little too revealing to have to ask someone to help me shave my back, it's got to be awkward at least.

If you're comfortable with your body hair, then don't change it. Some of us love it.

I think the hair thing is more important to the guy. I love my guy the way he is. If he needs to trim his hair or shave it to feel comfortable fine...just don't give me razor stuble if I want to snuggle. I do prefer the nether region be trimmed just for appetite issues. That's my own personal preference but doesn't stop me from loving my guy.

I personally thought I loved guys with bare chests and no body hair. I fell for a hairy teddy bear and love him with all my heart. I wouldn't have him any other way. I just hope he feels the same way.

Casper, I do a little in the way of trimming, I don't really shave anything (besides my face) but I do take the clippers to my chest, arms and legs every now and again, just to keep it all manageable. Nothing wrong with that.

I'm bald, but grow wild out my ears, nose and my eyebrows. Doesn't bother me, but drives my 16 yr old crazy. About every two weeks I have to hold still while she weeds, plucks and manscapes.

Actually, more and more men are getting into hair removal. I don't have any male hair removal clients at the moment, but in the school clinic there were quite a few who came through for waxing. Back and brows mostly. (The brows were always done because a girl forced them)

I don't have a preference anymore. I've seen it all. But maybe I'd prefer a snuggly guy who I don't get tangled into, lol.

Shaving large body areas will always leave you itchy. Waxing is painful, but you build a tollerance. And you don't need to do it often. As painful as it was getting my pits waxed, I'd never stop now. Thats an area that you NEVER get used to, but the results are too amazing to ever give up. Thankfully, waxing can kill follicles and cause less regrowth. So at least it gets thinner and quicker each time.:ohwell:

I think when it comes to back and shoulder hair, waxing is the best option. Unless you spring for laser hair removal. Thats a great investment, but sooooo, soooo expensive. Other wise trimming is really all a hairy man needs, unless he prefers to be smooth.

Just when I think we run out of topics to discuss on MFP
I prefer as little hair as possible...but I think everyone is different...if u care about someone, I doubt body hair will be an issue

I like for DH to keep his face shaved & his chest trimmed, he keeps his manscaping up to date down below, and he doesn't have shoulder or back hair but if he did I'd make him shave it, that freaks me out.
