Words/Phrases you HATE

using "can I" instead of "may I"...I don't know what you can or can't do
using double negatives...
yolo0 -
"Not being rude but..."
"No offence or out but..."
Much offence may still be taken xD
When people end every sentence with "D'ya know what I mean?"
Calling a group of people "yous"
And YOLO; kind of reminds me of Rolos and makes me extra hungry0 -
Whatever...( shrugs shoulders)0

I apologize if someone has already used this one. This thread is so long!
This is more typed than spoken, but I hate "definately" or "defiantly" when the person means "definitely".
"I defiantly agree with you." <-- This person agrees with you, but they're being defiant about it.0 -
'Addicting' as an adjective
'Cute' in places it makes no sense- "Cute dinner with my hubby" Facebook is terrible for this.0 -
"choo choo trane", "peek-a-boo", "Whee" or anything else when they are said by an adult man !!!!0
-
I can't believe no one has said, "it's to die for" - that phrase makes me cringe.
Also makes me crazy when people use "loose" when they mean "lose".
Same here. When I hear "It's to die for," I picture that the person is in a creepy suicide cult.
When I see "loose weight" rather than "lose weight," it makes it sound like the person is just loosening their weight somehow so it's easier to get rid of later.
I'm a visual person and I picture everything in a literal sense. It makes life entertaining.0 -
People that actually say...."Rofl"0
-
My ex called me "baby" even after I told him that I hated it. I know it's accepted by most people, but I can't stand it.
Excuse me, I'm an adult female. Do I look like a baby to you, creeper who dates babies?0 -
1) "Everything happens for reason"
2) "God won't give you more than you can handle"
3) "Well, it's good enough"
4) "Oh, don't worry about that"
5) "awe, thats so nice"
6) "It is what it is"
***Oh my gosh I have so many!! hahaha I ESPEICALLY hate 1, 2 and 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
I can't stand the words, "Good for you!"
It comes off conceded and careless.0 -
I hate the phrase, "to die for".0
-
Gods will
Gods plan
But I can't
I'll try0 -
I really can't stand " I'll try " because its obvious whoever is saying it is not intending to succeed. They're just saying it to pacify you.0

I already replied to this thread, but upon reading another topic in the forums I have another
Sapporting/saporting,,,, ummm what?
do you mean supporting?
and all of these (ten words you need to stop misspelling) when it comes to writing: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/misspelling0 -
jeez I seem to be the thread killer lately0
-
"I could care less"
Yeah. Especially as it's supposed to be "couldn't care less"
A bit like the people who say "pacifically" instead of "specifically"
^This.....and "same difference" Drives me crazy :explode:0 -
You mad bro?
Eh
Whatever
OK
You mad bro is the WORST!0 -
The buzz phrase around our office is, "You don't know what you don't know". I cannot stand it. Also, saying "right" after every sentence. My last one the came about recently is "...you ain't about that life". Can someone tell me what that means, "You ain't about that life."0
-
"I could care less"
Yeah. Especially as it's supposed to be "couldn't care less"
A bit like the people who say "pacifically" instead of "specifically"
Or the people who say "preformance" instead of PERFORMANCE!??
Probly instead of probably0 -
cant stand all the new mixed up words like amazeballs or chillaxin
ugh0 -
"for real"
"shorty"
"that's my boo"0 -
Aint nobody got time for that
I want to stab someone in the throat every time i hear it
Also when people say conversate like its a word instead of converse.0 -
"Purposely". You probably mean deliberately, or on purpose.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/purposely?s=t
Mine is people that say their going somewhere "on tomorrow".
The absolute worst for me is people that tell you that their child is "10 months years-old". Are you really that dense?0 -
SWAG0

Reject & burger.... I want a BURGER. -_- It's either a hamburger or a cheeseburger but BURGER.. no.
Idk what it is but those words annoy me! Lmao0 -
It is what it is.
EVOO (instead of calling it Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I get it, ok? I still hate it)
YOLO
And now that I'm house-hunting and watching shows on HGTV:
granite
stainless
hardwood
(I don't hate the things, just the fact that everyone wants them on every episode)0 -
I forgot YOLO......that really needs to die...0
-
Man now i'm repeating "Burger" in my head.. it sounds like a side effect or something lmao0
