You have to be pissed for greatness.0

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.
John Wooden0 -
It takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body changing,
8 weeks for your friends to notice, and
12 weeks for the rest of the world to notice.
Don’t QUIT!
this is what has kept me going.0 -

My favorite is, "When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on tight." I think that was Eleanor Roosevelt who said it. I can't remember for sure.0 -
Fave fitness quote
Some quit due to slow progress. Never grasping the fact that slow progress…is progress.

“The past does not define, you the present does.”

There is a Swedish quote that I like: "Det är vägen som är mödan värd." It means "It is the journey that makes the trouble worth while." I remind myself this when I get too impatient with my slow weight-loss. I have to savor every moment.0

This is pretty awesome, as isThe pain you feel today, will be the strength you feel tomorrow
Just what I needed this morning - so thank you! :flowerforyou:0 -
Just because it is, doesn't mean it should be
From the film Australia [Lady Ashley and Drover]
Although in the film it refers to discrimination it resonates with me on a personal level for many other reasons too.
In my head I interpret it as Just because it is, doesn't mean that's the way it has to be
At the moment I am overweight...doesn't mean that's the way I have to stay
I am not as fit as I would like to be....doesn't have to stay that way etc.
It really motivates me and makes me feel that while I may have to accept that this is the way things are right at this very moment in time...I can make the changes right now, this very second that can alter that very fact.
LOL

My more recent favorite: Arnold Schwarzenegger: “The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion. That's what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they'll go through the pain no matter what happens.”0
