36 pounds in one year isn't impressive speedwise, but slow progress is still progress I suppose. Keep it up.
Didn't your mother ever teach you, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all? This forum is to celebrate success!! I think the OP looks wonderful and she has done a great job in getting where she is. Guys tend to be able to lose weight much faster and easier than women and one's progress shouldn't be compared to another. This is an individual journey. Keep up the great work OP!0 -

Why on earth would you criticize someone like this? She has worked hard and made excellent changes. Just because your body lost weight faster doesn't make you more impressive.
I do not mean to attack you, I just cannot understand why you would choose to comment if you only have negativity to bring to the table. Keep it to yourself, dude. No need to comment on other people's journeys if you aren't going to offer support and motivation.0 -

That seemed kind of harsh...that's a big chunk of weight!0 -
I think that is great! I am a little bit older, and even though I have started to really get into exercising a lot more than I was, the weight is coming off VERY SLOWLY. I would be thrilled to death If I lost that much in a year. Good for you for not throwing in the towel after that long plateau. You look great!0

Amazing difference - look lovely, I am losing slowly too, haven't got a huge amount to lose & i know if I deprive myself too much I'll give up. It's a lifestyle change for me ( exercise wise ) as for food I'm more careful, but not strict. If you are too restricted you just won't keep t it - whatever you are doing is working - keep at it girl!!!!0

Wow.. good job. You've really trimmed down a lot with a 36 pound weight loss.. it's most noticeable in your face! Way to go0
-
Are you kidding? 36lbs in a year is brilliant - just brilliant. That's over 1/2 lb a week. That's a calorie deficit of over 1500 a week. Compare that to the situation of many of us, beforehand....where we were actually always gradually gaining. For me, standing still is always an achievement!
Many, many congratulations. You have done a super job. Well done!0 -
I was sad to see the negative comment BUT the true supporters came in like a fleet!!! Great job to you and keep up the good work...your journey is just that , YOUR JOURNEY. Be proud of what you've accomplished and the fact that you started. You go!0

And middle aged men, you thoughtless, self centered nasty little man.
If you were continually confronted with people who told you exactly what they think of you, I think you might understand that sometimes, think it, stop, reflect, choose not to be a fool. It's called being 10.0 -
Happy 1 year!!! And congrats....you look fabulous!!....and I bet you feel GREAT!!!!0

36 lbs is a wonderful accomplishment. Just think if you would have given up, more than likely you would have gained it back. You've worked too hard to turn around now. No matter how long it has taken or will take to reach your goal. You hang on in there.I want you to know 36 pounds is very impressive to me!!!! You look great!!!!0
-
i believe slow weight loss just increases your success of keeping it off!!! congrats on your accomplishments thus far & good luck as you continue!!0

This 36 pound weightloss is between a half and three quarters of a pound per week...GREAT JOB!0

...Not intentionally. You people are way too sensitive, that was meant to be a compliment. And I get bashed from every angle. No wonder I rarely come to these forums. I get attacked by middle aged women every time.
No, a compliment would have been: "Fantastic! You did well!" Instead, you had to leaven it with a little dig.
If you want to get on in life, you really need to learn how to give compliments instead of passive/aggressive comments you mean to pass off as" compliments". If you are getting attacked by middle-aged women, there's likely a reason, because most of us tend to be live and let live at this point, unless you're picking on someone for no good reason. Do you have Mommy issues?
Seriously, dude, don't be a bully.
To the OP -- Love your sense of humor, and congratulations on the weight loss!0 -
also...... we can support her no matter what age! I'm 20.... definitely not middle aged, bro.0

I agree. I'm 22 and I was quick to stand up for her too. Any loss is a SUCCESS. End of. Learn some manners.0 -
congratulations! And that you had the tenacity to keep going even when you plateaued for so long... That's simply fantastic. Your face looks great (and I adore your speech bubbles ).0

Great job! Looking really good!0

If that was a compliment, I'd hate to see your idea of an insult.
You get attacked 'every time'? Well, the common denominator there is you. Says a lot really.
Oh and by the way, I'm 25, not middle aged, and I still think you are an idiot.0 -

Well done you look brilliant. Keep up the good work :-)0

Let me begin by saying that you're a beautiful woman - before the weight loss and after! There's a huge difference in your shape. I love your silly face pic! Dedication like you've shown is AWESOME! That's my goal - to stay DEDICATED! When I get to 36 lbs lost, however long it may take, I will be dancing a jig!
As far as the unsupportive "compliment" goes - just shake the haters off. Some people don't know how to interact socially, especially via internet.0 -

REALLY?! Why make a comment like that? You, my dear, are the unimpressive one. Kudos, kudos, kudos for the weight loss.....it's a heck of a lot more than many others are achieving :-)0 -
Wow, you look fantastic!! Keep up the great job you're doing!!!0

Congratulations - you look amazing!0
