    i'm gonna be honest here... i do some catering work to help support the acting career, and i've been known to steal whole sugar cubes and eat them straight. but only the brown ones. because... you all know how i feel about white foods

    :laugh: I used to eat sugar cubes sometimes as a kid, or at least put it in my mouth and drink tea rather than dropping it in and mixing it together first.

    OP lost me at coconut oil although I agree processed sugar is evil. Coconut oil is actually beneficial.

    I'm confused by this....my nutritionist and quite a few other people have said that coconut oil is now considered one of the "healthy oils" and that I should try to incorporate it more into my cooking, instead of just relying on olive oil. I take it by Bert's reaction that this isn't a commonly accepted theory here?

    On a side note, unless it's an actual poison, I have issues with using the word "toxic" to describe food.

    That is a green tea crape cake from Lady M.

    Super thin layers of crapes, laced with airy and light green tea vanilla custard cream, with top crape caramelized lightly and sprinkled with matcha green tea powder. The fork goes through it easy like through fresh snow. They are made fresh every day and are divine!

    As funny as that may be, it shows who is not interested in learning about nutrition. Makes it easy to point out who's opinions are likely based on their own nutritional religion rather than actual facts.
