SUGAR IS TOXIC!!!

So, learning from MFP, I can't eat sugar or sodium, so that cuts out sweets, fruits, and sea salt for cooking. I can't eat wheat (I have celiac disease anyway), but I also can't eat corn, quinoa, or buckwheat, because it's poison. I can't eat any animal products, but even though I'm transitioning to vegetarianism, I can't eat veggie-burgers or anything of the sort because TOXINS. Potatoes are obviously evil, sweet or not. Oh, and no vegetables, because those have carbs, and everyone knows that Satan put carbs on the planet to tempt us to the dark side. That leaves me with photosynthesis, but SKIN CANCER. Man, eating is hard!
You have definitively sucked the last morsel of happiness from my life. Good bye cruel world. <<throwing self off the loading dock>>
Mission Accomplished!

Yep, Julie Andrews. Darn it.
It's almost as bad as a misspelled word.
Now you've crushed my dreams.
 I love weird. People don't get me/think I'm funny either.0 -

Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, per Julia Roberts.

Excuse me miss, but could you remove your bowl of mold from my table?0 -
At about an hour and 10 minutes, he goes full conspiracy theory! Basically says that the United States government doesn't want you to have fiber. WTF?
Actually, the sanitation lobby wanted less poop to wade through in the sewers so they paid the government to cut out fiber from peoples diet. True story. Unfortunately, the toilet paper industry didn't have the money to counter these lobbying efforts.0 -

Per Archangel Michael (aka John Travolta), there's no such thing as too much sugar.
It's good on frosted flakes.0 -

OP lost me at coconut oil although I agree processed sugar is evil. Coconut oil is actually beneficial.
#DYING.
I'm confused by this....my nutritionist and quite a few other people have said that coconut oil is now considered one of the "healthy oils" and that I should try to incorporate it more into my cooking, instead of just relying on olive oil. I take it by Bert's reaction that this isn't a commonly accepted theory here?
On a side note, unless it's an actual poison, I have issues with using the word "toxic" to describe food.
Well the moment you say OIL, its bad I guess.0 -
Sugar stole my car and killed my family!0 -
Sugar itself, if i was consumed in small quantites, would be fine.. but it's in everything.. we consume way more than we even know we consume and it's addictive and unhealthy.. nothing like coconut oil.0

Oh man I used to love to binge on a stick of butter covered in sugar with salt and vanilla extract. It was what we all love about candy minus the extra stuff to get in the way, LOL!0

Coconut oil & sugar are related? Both toxic? Holy crap I should be dead cause I have coconut oil every single day. EVERY DAY. I cook with it & ONLY that.
Coconut oil is one of the best oils you can eat, it's a natural fat fighter ...yep it helps break it down a little better & also a natural sunscreen.0 -
natural sugar is the way to go, in moderation.....just like everything else/ i use raw golden sugar just for baking but if you r totally against it use liquid natural honey:) stay away from added sugar found in processed foods/ eating more natural in the raw!!! its really the sugary beverages that r the leading causes of obesity and contribute to other health problems, however dont think aspartame and sweetners r healthy cause they r not, they cause cancers as well as other things!!!! so people i would say stick to the natural things i life!!!0

I feel sad for everyone who is scared of green cake. You are so missing out. Bitter and sweet and creamy all at once. Makes me really miss Japan.
Than I have more green tea food porn from my last trip to Japan, especially for you
A bowl of puke from the Exorcist with a side of green poop and wedge of molded algae. Oh, and some fruit. :sick:0
