    My list started off very simple as a teen when I first started dating.
    Sexual attraction was pretty much it. I had extremely low standards.
    With every stupid choice I made in dating/marriage partners, more things were added to the list.

    Fortunately I completed my list 14 yrs ago when I married the perfect guy for me. I don't ever want to be single again. But if I found myself there, it would be difficult to find one that has all the traits my hubby has, but I wouldn't compromise on key traits.

    Fidelity-100% dealbreaker.
    No alcohol abuse
    No illegal drug use
    No smoking
    Must have a sense of humor
    Must have compatible IQ
    Similar values and views on most major subjects, yet can agree to disagree on minor things.
    Treats me with respect- no yelling or cursing, or saying intentionally hurtful things.
    No major control freaks.
    No anger issues, -don't throw a childish fit and throw stuff or slam doors when you get mad.
    Is able to sit down and calmly talk thru any issues we might have.
    Loves me for who I am, yet encouraging and supportive of me bettering myself.
    Is strong and dependable when the going gets tough. Doesn't bail at the first sign of trouble.

    Of course I expect no less of myself in a relationship as well.

    Lol, we LOVE Big Bang Theory. But then we have a 12 yo Sheldon in our house. Not sure I would be compatible with anyone who hates the show.
    But then I wouldn't be compatible with someone who watches Honey Boo Boo, either, so to each their own.
