5'9" ladies......what is your goal weight

I'm about 150, 30% BF according to scales at the gym (not sure how accurate that is). I originally wanted to be 140 but am thinking about 145 now. Want to get below 25% BF.0

Looks like the general idea here is between 150 and 180. I'm there! I like the idea of living comfortable at a slightly higher weight .
Me too! The lightest I've ever been in adult life was 165 about 5 years ago- I'm 5ft 9 and when I weighed that I wore a UK 10/12 on top and 12/14 on bottom. I remember thinking at the time though that I didn't want to be any thinner because my boobs were already vanishing! I wasn't keeping track of what I was eating, but I was VERY active. I would walk about 6 miles a day at work, martial arts training twice a week and gym 2-3 times a week as well. Then I injured my shoulder and have had problems with that ever since which rules out martial arts; I changed jobs so I was no longer walking; I cancelled gym membership because I couldn't afford it.... suddenly, hellooo 185lb and pushing a size 16! I don't really want to be 165 again because of the work that took - my lifestyle now is much busier so I can't fit it in. I'm using the free gym at work a couple of times a week, doing yoga once or twice a week, and today I'm oiff work and the weather's nice so I'm heading out for 45 minute run / walk intervals (5 min run to 1 min walk). I originally put my goal weight at 168lb but now that I've lost a bit and therefore feel confident that this will keep on working, I'm reassessing and thinking that 170lb is as low as I want to go - I'll see what I look and feel like when I get there.
Good luck! It's been really helpful and reassuring seeing posts from other women of my height and some with similar build. Plus, I agree - we all rock for deciding to make good choices, look after our bodies and get healthier xx0 -
Looking at around 143, on a small frame. Of course that might change and get a little higher , depending on how I feel, when I get further along.0

5ft 9" and 44 years old (nearly) Mum of 3 kids (though it shouldn't make a difference!) and currently 170-173lbs. Aiming for anything in the 160's at the moment as though I'm toning beautifully I'm not losing. Absolute dream weight would be 147lbs but I haven't been that weight since I was 16! So a realistic ultimate goal is 154lbs.
I have small feet, small wrists and broad shoulders but build muscle and tone fairly easily. I feel very heavy now, hence my new regime :-) xx0 -
I am 5' 8" and currently weigh 253, down from 275. My first big goal is to be under 200 lbs and see how I feel and look then. But ideally 180 sounds good! I am big boned. With a pear shape and would love to be able to buy jeans in regular sizes once again! What having kid and health issues and meds can do to you! My lowest weight as an adult was 130 lbs before kids but that was too thin!0

5'9.5 small frame and I'm thinking I may need to lower my goal weight to be honest! I'm 151 right now with a goal of 147 but I think I may have a little more to lose... I really don't know . I've only just started fitting comfortably into my size uk 12 jeans again and my goal is to fit into my 10s (felt awesome in them about 6 years ago!) so I don't know if 4lbs is going to make that big of a difference. I'm at about 26% body fat so that may be where my issue is... but I've started lifting heavy recently and hopefully I can bring that down! My weight is starting to become less important to me, it's more about how I look and feel.
I don't know the size differences from here to there.....but I am in a 12 now and some 10's. I am not a small frame....big butt and legs with small waist. I just started heavier lifting as well....and today I can feel it.0 -

I am loving all the responses! You are doing great for not having a gym membership. Good work.0 -
I'm 5'9 and just starting my weight loss (currently at 257). My goal at this time is 175. I have a medium to large build and I'm a strong. When I get down past 180 I'll just continue losing until I feel fit and look healthy.
You can do this! I did! I started at 250 in Jan 2012. At my year I lost 65lbs and now at 14months I'm at 76lbs lost. I am like you...big and strong (always been sporty and athletic...never small). Way to go!!0 -
I'm 5'8 . Till about 22yo i was about 120 , then came kids and it went to 165, now it's 142 but i would like to go back to at least 130. I felt better. Now all my fat is in my belly and thighs... and it's awfull and unproportional. I hate it. It's mostly underskin fat tissue. My calfs, arms, neck and head are very thin and my *kitten* seems a lot bigger because of it. aaaaand i look like 4months pregnant... all the time.0

Currently 5' 9" small/medium framed and at 144 lb. I would like to be in better physical shape and feel that if I work out more to the point where my body is more toned that I will be at around 135lb. We'll see how that goes.0
-
I'm now 209lbs down from 237lbs. My goal weight is 160lbs. I haven't been that in about 10 years! My first goal is to be under 200lbs. Then next 180lbs. I feel like I'd even be happy at 175lbs. We will see how I feel when I get there. I'm a "right now" kind of person and this is killing me!0

I'm 5'9'' and my goal weight is 155lbs.
I'm two pounds away from 155, I might readjust to a goal of 150, but I can't see myself going lower than that. I have an athletic build and I plan on keeping my muscle.
Ha,ha! I am exactly THIS, 2lbs away with the same build0 -
I'm 5'9" and weight 231 - down from 290. I'm shooting for 160 but as others have said, I'll be doing cartwheels when I get below 200. At my thinnest adult weight, I weighed 155 and if I'd worked out much, I think I'd have been really happy with that again. I didn't work out much back then and I'm an "apple shape" (....probably more like a barrel!) Even then, I wore a 14. I hope that when I get to 155-165, I'll know a little more about what's possible. I'm hoping that working out, concentrating on a lean diet etc will help with the awkwardly large waist!!! I envy all you ladies with a butt and smaller waist!!0

I'm 5'8 and around 129 pounds. My goal is 126.50

I'm 5'9" and my goal weight is 128-130. I'm about 135 now since I stopped my birth control pills, but it's not a huge deal. I have a small frame, so I don't look too small. My heaviest was 195lbs.

My weight is fine, just working on reshaping as another poster said. Currently a comfortable size 8, wouldn't mind getting into a 6.0

Goal: 150.
I'm 165 right now. I've been as low as 145 as an adult, and could have gone lower, but I'm pretty sure I have a lot more muscle now.0 -
Mines is about 175-180. If I get any lower, people may think I look sick. My lowest adult weight was 175, and people thought I was starving even at my height. I am between a size 8/9 right now, but a size 6 would be wonderful. However, no lower0
-
My goal is 152ish. I am 176 at the moment. Few years back I was 158 and I felt fantastic. I have a medium-large frame. I think it has a lot to do with your frame. My over all goal is to look toned fit & healthy no matter what the scales say
Good luck ladies :flowerforyou:0 -
I'm 5'8.5" and I am sitting around 162-164. Though I REALLLY would love to be at 145. My bf% is around 25% right now, so we will see what happens with heavy lifting. I would be ok in the 150s if I was toned up... which is what I suspect may be the case.0

5'10, or just a tad below, and I am 138, aiming to return to around 131-133.
I cannot imagine ever being 160, 170, or accepting that. The most I have weighed, even not exercising and not watching anything I ate, was 150Ibs. I would consider myself fat at anything over that, and even at 150, I was chunky.0 -
I'm 51 yo, 5'8.5", 133pds, small frame. Loss maybe 5 pds.0

I'm 5'9"and 162 at a US 6/8 (~155 in my photo). I'm about 25% BF and looking to get to 20%, moreso than I am looking to get to a specific weight. I am doing a lot of strength training this time around on my cut and I'm not sure what my ideal weight will look like on the scale after trying to purposefully build up muscle.0

Im 5'9" and my goal weight is 140-147 but im currently at 158.
I have stepped up my exercise game a lot in the past 6 months so whilst i weigh my heaviest ever I dont think i look or feel like my heaviest ever... if that makes sense.
I need to stop snacking but my house is full of temptation it is so hard.0 -
165, then re-evaluate. I started at 195 and am currently 179.0
-
I'm 5'9", started at around 180lbs, size 12, and I'm currently down to 147lbs, size 4. My goal weight is 125-130lbs, size 0-2.0
-
I'm 5'9 and my goal weight is 185 ish. I was 165- is high school and I played 3 sports full-time. So I feel that 180-190 lb range will be a healthy maintainable range for me. I was about 260 lbs and am down to 218 lbs    Half way to my goal!!!0
-
I'm 5'9' and thought I'd feel good at 150. I got there, wasn't happy, and decided to keep losing. I eventually settled at 135 (size 4/6) and have been maintaining there for about a year now.0
-
I'm 5'10" and currently shooting for 145 but I'd be happy with 150. When I was doing sports in school I was around 140. While I'd love that, I just don't have the time to devote to it like I did then so I'd settle for a happy middle0

5' 9" my healthy "active" weight between 160 and 1650
