Pasta will never ever be left behind. Remember Dream Fields Pasta is carb healthy. It tastes like normal pasta, but I think it only has 5 net carbs. GOOD STUFF!

So? Everyone else likely does as well. Except for Gummi Bears--yech!
We saved some gummy worms for you, because we knew you didn't like the bears.0 -

I had this cupcake from Georgetown Cupcake last week. Lava Fudge. One of the best tasting things I've ever put in my mouth. Cream cheese frosting, gooey chocolate in the middle...*quiver*

I love how 90% of the pics posted are also really fatty foods.
That's why people are afraid of carbs but in reality a starch-based diet isn't going to make you fat or give you diabetes.0 -

For some people, starch based diets will make them fat and lead to health problems.. in excess of course. Some are more sensitive than others0 -
Just checking in to say that I carbs. I would rather remain fat for the rest of my life than give them up.0

Hmm stereotyping much? Do Asians account for the entire world? Diabetics of all races are usually sensitive to certain carbs.. fact. I'm not arguing that I think carbs are bad, just putting the facts out there..0 -
Yes me too its crazy how food can make u happy0

Lol thats funny yetsooooo true0

I don't even think traditional Asian cuisine is as starch-based as people think it is.
There's a ton of lean protein, vegetables, and liquids in there, and if you actually look at the serving size of rice and noodles for one person, it's really not that much. It's there to complement the meal, not be the whole meal, the way it is here.
I feel like the only folks who actually shovel in the rice day and night are like....sumo wrestlers, and we all know how they look.
And even they do alot of veggies and protein as well.0 -

But their traditional diet is very low in sugar. Sugar and starch together is lardifying. If you are putting out 5,000 calories a day in workouts, you can probably eat most anything you want. But, for those of us who are not Herculean, we have to watch our sugar and total carbs along with our other macros.0 -
Go CARBS!
I would sell 95% of the people I know into slavery for this. Or..you know...make it myself this weekend, but you get my point.0 -

Actually, adding fat helps lower the glycemic value of a carbohydrate. Those who are fighting T-2 diabetes know that eating protein and fat with carbs helps keep their blood sugar down. The correct balance of fiber, carbs, protein and fat (along with exercise) helps them keep their blood sugar within safe limits. But they understand that sugar is a no-no (and artificial sweeteners are what they frequently turn to in order to avoid sugar).0 -
I like Jayjay. Just sayin.0

Starches eventually turn into gluscose, just as sucrose turns into glucose.0 -
I have one question for those of you who seem to be promoting carb-stuffing: How is this helping anyone? Yeah--I get that some of you do the PopTart-ice cream thing in order to say "Ha-ha, I can eat anything I want and have no problem with body fat-gain!" but that bit of sangfroid may lead obese folk (especially obese women) to think that they can eat sugary junk food and still lose weight. I ask again, how is that helping anyone--especially those who are "food addicted"? Do you also try to tempt recovering alcoholics with pictures of booze? It doesn't faze me, because I have been off of sugar and starch for a long time (about three years) but, at one time, it might have. We are supposed to be here to encourage others to stay on their programs. Perhaps it would be good to think about those who are struggling with temptation.0

Of course, but when it is taken with protein, fiber and fat (rather than sugar) the protein, fiber and fat mitigate the high glycemic affect of the starch. Not rocket science.0 -

This is not over eaters anonomous - this is my fitness pal and we are all here for different reasons. We can post about pizza and pop tarts - feel free not to come into these threads - this one had a warning over the door for people tempted by carbs. :noway:
PS you CAN eat sugary food and lose weight if it fits in your calories.0 -

If it's just taken with protein, larger insulin spike than if you ate either by themselves!0
