I get it. It seemed like he was treating your sister like a fetish instead of a person.

    Ooh fetish

I have had my fair of fetish and either this guy was not at all creative (find that hard to believe for a guy with a fetish) or... ya know... he didn't had a fetish and actually liked his sister.

OP, please, stop "Rooster"-blocking your sister...

    b) Did you seriously said that your sister is hot? WTF is wrong with you?
Why is this wrong? I happen to have a very good looking brother. I don't obviously fancy him sexually or anything like that but when someone tells me that my brother is hot it is not news to me.

It's different to say you brother is handsome or your sister is gorgeous. Saying someone is hot usually implies an attraction.
And to say it about one's sister AND mom? Sorry, that kind of weirded me out too
sounds like the op is few steps away from being on Jerry Springer

Sounds like he hates white people too. I cannot believe how racist this guy is being and now he's trying to deny it. Its just sad and pathetic really that in this day and age we have young folks doing this :(
    Totally agree with you

Nothing wrong with a fetish...but seriously. Sounds to me the guy had a preference for a certain type of woman and was trying to pick her up. Plain and simple. It happens.

If some guy at a party was hanging off me calling me 'majestic' and 'strong' I'd think he was a creepy cheeseball anyway, I hope your sister thought the same.
As an aside, I have three sisters and we have two older brothers and they spent their lives chasing men away from us...and 98% of the time they were right. I don't think there's anything wrong with looking out for your sister, it's how it should be so good for you.

I disagree....I think my mum is hot !! no attraction to her, but when I get to 40 I would die for that body, straight up...even my boyfriend and male and female friends think she's hot !
Just depends on how you view the word !
And actually I can kind of understand the OPs post, because I've had something similar happen
best advice...nothing you can do and get over it

This! My brothers are gorgeous and so are my sisters. I feel no attraction to them obviously but I know they're gorgeous and I'm comfortable enough in myself to say that. We have good genes! I think you should question yourself if you feel like it's wrong to admit that someone is aesthetically attractive.

If he thought that as a black woman she should somehow be grateful for interest from a white man then yes that's irritating. My little brother is also very protective of me. To the point of controlling actually which is a problem as he's made comments about my choice of dress. And I'm a married woman! Lol. Sorry that's off topic.
Also there's nothing wrong with saying a family member is hot or good looking, it's an objective observation and anyone who's creeped out by that has a problem.

Oh and I've had that treatment when I visited my native Hungary from tourist men. They thought I lived there therefore must be poor or something so I should fall at their feet for offering to get me a drink. Douches.

I think you really need to take the time to read what I wrote. Really comprehend the text. Nowhere in my post did I ever say it was wrong to say a family member was gorgeous or beautiful.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm not going all the way back to see who said which part of what I quoted. If you said the original part, 'Did you seriously said that your sister is hot? WTF is wrong with you?' this is what I have a problem with. And I was directly replying to the lady above me. Comprenez vous?!

OP - Your sister is hot, so the guy focused his attention on her. This is surprising? Other than perhaps being rude for ignoring everyone else, I don't see a huge problem.

Everyone wants to be liked because of who they are, not one defining characteristic. I totally get what you're saying. I've had men like me BECAUSE I'm overweight, and that's just as insulting as not being liked because you're overweight. I get it. It's objectification. Now you know what women are talking about.

Btw, I never heard of strong, exotic and majestic as stereotypes for black women.. all compliments.

I have, though it tends to be more from other black people, perhaps as a way to help foster a sense of empowerment.

I think we need a picture of your sister and/or mother to determine what you consider hot.

On a sidenote to me racist are awesome because it means more women for the rest of us, who find women sexy no matter what.

I think this guy likes your sister. My white man class me a strong queen. So what! Perhaps you wanted him to say these things to you.
