I Need A Man's Opinion

  • This went so many directions that it did not need to go. The side wars aren't really helping this girl with anything. I think several people have already stated, but I want to reiterate their note--if you change for someone else, you won't ever be happy with yourself. Self-worth and a secure identity are highly important. If you choose to loose weight, I hope you do it for yourself primarily. If you change who you are for others you will find yourself changing for all the wrong reasons.

WTF does this have to do with insecurities ? She asked a simple question if you can't answer it gtfo. Some men are chubby chasers and some are into the boney shapeless look. I am sue you are losing weight for yourself and just wondering what men generally think. You should find a man that wants to work out and be healthy with you. But right now stay single and say screw relationships
    "bony shapeless look"?
yes?? Some are into that look
that pretty offensive way to describe some women
    I really do not care.

Wouldn't "slender" be a more appropriate way to put it?
Its not my job to reword things to make you more comfortable.

Maybe not, but it is your job to watch your mouth in the forums before someone reports you for body shaming/insulting/or whatnot. I forget the terms but you are in violation of something. It doesn't take a psychology degree to see that.

Oh this is cool. So for now, I guess I'm "chubby" and the chasers can like me. Then later I will graduate to the insult of being a bag of "bones" and shapeless....but not before getting my psychology degree at whatever university the author got her Insultiology PhD.
You're right. I should have called IT out on both. I don't know how many times it has to be said but body shaming of any sort really isn't ok.
And I don't know how many times it has to be said, that women shouldn't be tearing eachother down just because they have a different body type. It's effing maddening.

Yes because I said boney and shapeless and you people with no lives took it straight up the backside. Get the **** over what I say. lol stop quoting me and then claiming QQ I AM GONNA REPORT YOU. How about you report the first comment and stop quoting it and causing the flaming yourselves? YOU are the trolls.

Seriously...who pissed your Cheerios this morning?
  • I don't need to watch my mouth for ****. You do not ever tell me what to do. I said some guys like skinny shapeless girls some guys like chubby girls...Get the **** over it. Or cry in the corner somewhere. Its not my problem how you take what I say. You don't see people crying over the term chubby.

At this point, I can't even tell if you're actually being serious anymore.

I'm frequently amazed by how an apparently simple, innocuous looking question can generate full scale wars!! I think I should start a post entitled "1+1=2; true or false?", step back and watch for fireworks!

As for the original question; I think that there guys (like girls) have a wide variety of (weight/size) preferences - so it shouldn't really make that much difference. Main thing is you are happy with yourself - and the rest will work itself out

?? the fact that you suggest I am the one in the bad mood, when I had like 8 cry babies quoting me about one comment is hilarious, i am fine, you seem to be the ones up in arms about what I said (like always). I wasn't slurring anyone, just making a comment about "types" the way you interpret it, is not my problem.

OP, wear your favorite clothes, get your chin up, shoulders back, look people in the eye and smile, and walk like you mean it, and any boy with a lick of common sense and the good fortune to find you will want to be by your side. :flowerforyou:

OP. I am not a man so take my opinion or not but I think you are beautiful now and getting in shape and losing weight will only benefit you. You will gain confidence and self worth and everything you may be lacking now (not that you are lacking anything I just suck at wording things). So I think if you are happy with you, you will attract a man that is worth you now, tomorrow and forever.

Just be yourself and be confident!

    Dear Posters,

After removing a great deal of content from this topic, I wanted to offer a brief explanation for the locking of this thread.

The forum guidelines include these items:

    1. No Attacks or Insults and No Reciprocation

    a) Do not attack, mock, or otherwise insult others. You can respectfully disagree with the message or topic, but you cannot attack the messenger. This includes attacks against the user’s spelling or command of written English, or belittling a user for posting a duplicate topic.
    b) If you are attacked by another user, and you reciprocate, you will also be subject to the same consequences. Defending yourself or a friend is not an excuse! Do not take matters into your own hands – instead, use the Report Post link to report an attack and we will be happy to handle the situation for you.

    2. No Hi-Jacking, Trolling, or Flame-baiting

Please stay on-topic within a forum topic. Off-topic or derogatory remarks are disrespectful. Please either contribute politely and constructively to a topic, or move on without posting. This includes posts that encourage the drama in a topic to escalate, or posts intended to incite an uproar from the community. We reserve the right to moderate a topic based on the intent of the sexual material it contains. Topics intended to titillate will be removed.
