I don't remember my childhood. At all. Not sure why...

I remember crazy details about my childhood I even shocked my parents when I remembered our first house and that was before I was even in first grade

I have a brother with epilepsy, and other psychiatric conditions. He has the mental capacity of a 7 year old. He suffered a head injury as an infant. My mom or doctors didn't know how he would be effected until he grew older and his behavioral problems manifested. He's the oldest, my other siblings have moved on and away with their families. I'm the youngest. I've stayed close to mom to help her out. She raised us as a single mom, no dad. So she's sort of alone in all this. Except for me. He has aggressive outbursts, OCD, Schizotype personality disorder. He's made life "interesting" I live on my own but I've kept mom close. I stop by every night and check in with them, make sure she's doing okay. I take him out every other weekend, to the park, play catch..stuff like that. she's in her 70's and it's getting harder for her to care for him (administer meds, and protective supervision). There's agencies that provide part time caregivers to help out. But eventually one day I'll have to take over. It's her final wish that he doesn't get placed in an institution. We've had numerous "crisis" moments, tough times where my mom has cried to me "I don't why God chose me to carry this cross, but I'm thankful that he also gave to me an Angel" she calls me her guardian angel :) I promised her that I'd care for him when she passes.

I've never really talked about him outside of close personal friends.

I'm afraid of heights and have terrible bouts of motion sickness in anything that moves, but cannot pass up a rollercoaster of any kind.

I was on the Price is Right...

    and lost the car...
    and spun the wheel...
    really,
    really,
    really,
    hard (while wearing slippery sandals)

    and...

    BIT THE DUST.

Got shot under the wheel (well, just about...)

and ended up on Bloopers for years and years.

(Got recognized each time it aired.)

Ten years later, heard Bob Barker describe me while he was interviewed on a morning zoo FM radio show, "the girl who was visiting the show and just run a marathon and who got shot under the wheel as his favorite, most exuberant contestant ever."

    The end.

    p.s.

No. Never found it on YouTube. Thankfully it is on VHS and it's melting away in a box somewhere in my hot garage.

I'm sorry but I will now make it my mission to find this video. Out of respect I will not share it. But I will laugh.

I was once a paranormal investigator.

I am friends with ^ her because of this. Seriously, it may have been the first message I sent to anyone on MFP and we've been friends ever since.

I almost never rinse my produce.

    *SCANDAL!*

    OMG ......

    Wait....does Burt know?!?!?!

Many people in my FL know that I am legally deaf.

What most don't really know is that I do NOT know sign language (product of a suck it up buttercup parenting style after the doctors suggested institutionalized schooling or me) and I speak.....to the point where you wouldn't even know I am deaf.

My parents were determined to prove to the doctors I didn't need institutionalization so they drummed everything into me.

They also say I wasn't the hardest child to raise even with all that extra effort needed.

Oh and I play the piano, took dancing lessons growing up and sang.

None of it was easy. But we don't believe in quit.

Many also know me as an agnostic; when I was a teen I was one of the countries youngest approved administrators of the sacrament for my church. (Meaning I could bless and serve)

I'm actually a sweet person who cares about others, I just tend to act like an A**hole so I don't have to deal with stupid people who are easily offended and will go cry about everything I say.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly puts me to sleep when i'm having insomnia attacks. depending on how severe, i will be asleep before the Yankees capture Tuco and Blondie...OR just before the bridge is blown up. haven't seen the graveyard scene in almost 10 years!

I don't like people, I don't trust people, and I prefer to be alone most of the time.

Not related to the OP, it just feels really good to say that.

We should be friends and hang out in different rooms, texting each other.

I made a found-art collar/neckpiece from stuff I found along the roads on my daily walks, titled it " The Road Not Taken" and it was published in Belle Armoire arts-of-adornment magazine.

My twisted sense of humour surfaced while I was in labour with my second son. We had an intern in the room to observe his very first birth, and I wanted to make it horribly uncomfortable for him, like to the point of him switching to cardiology or something. Lol
I refrained, though. And I'm rather proud of that.

    Ha....

Reminds me when I was getting my wisdom teeth pulled out under gas by a female orthodontist. I looked at her and said, so you come here often. She and her staff erupted in laughter and I felt pretty darn cool under the influence of drugs.

My older brother girlfriend was the former Miss America, Gretchen. She was like a big sister to me. :) I also competed in Miss Teen MN. :)

I got in the top 10 in a miss teen state competition, and when I was on stage holding the envelope with the final question inside,
I couldn't help but look inside to find out if it was the one question I couldn't answer. I still wonder if I lost points, and I think I must have. It was so embarrassing.
