Well, I am somewhere between you two on the age spectrum. Actually, I really do want to read full, proper sentences. I've plenty of time to read a few extra letters. Also, If I were reviewing a scholarship application worded like you worded that sentence above, I would automatically push it aside for someone who felt that the process was more worthy of their time. I had also finished grad school with degree number 3 by this point... shhh I was one of those nerds who graduated early and took like 23 credit hours a semester to finish quicker.Also, I would like to add, what magically happens at 23 that makes you not a dumbass anymore? Do you get your smart card on your 23rd birthday? I thought no one likes you when you're 23, anyway?

You're missing the point. The point of the post is that much of the advice given by young people is flat out wrong, even dangerous. I absolutely agree that some can give solid information (as mentioned in the OP) but forgive me for not being grateful that someone took time out of their day to give incorrect advice.0
