I'm a little sad that people think there is no such thing as unhealthy food. While I wish this were true - some food isn't really even food! The way it's processed - all the canola oil, GMO foods - corn, soy etc are only 2 molecules away from plastic! Now I know you don't think eating plastic is healthy..i hope! This is for the few that think everything is just food. It's just not the same as it use to be, please read up.
I have eaten plastic several times over the years I still eat the plastic coated paper stick the 1 or 2 times a year I eat lilipop maybe I keep confusing it with GMO food, my bad.

Nope. My body reacts badly to a lot of "healthy" foods though. The only junk foods that make me sick have always tasted nasty to me anyway. Lets see, things that make me sick,,,, pork rinds, lettuce, ham, flavored chips, broccoli, beans of any kind, sushi, fish of any kind, shelled creatures (like lobster), ranch flavor Doritos, celery, raw carrots, plums, peaches, grapes, raw tomatoes, kiwis, apples, and pepperoni. There is more but im too lazy.

I'll be honest, nothing happens at all. My body treats greasy fast food and fresh organic produce the same way, as far as I can tell. But I've always had a bit of an iron stomach- I've drank the water in third world countries and consumed tons of weird street food when traveling, I rarely get nauseated or experience constipation or diarhea (which I cannot spell either....), and I don't vomit from too much drinking or anything like that either. I know I'm lucky and I try not to abuse my body, but it's nice not to feel immediate repercussions if I want something fried once in a while.

I agree. I've never noticed much difference in how I feel, regardless of what I eat. Caffeine doesn't even seem to affect my energy levels. I once ate almost nothing but chocolate and ran the next morning. I felt the same as always. When I eat a lot of greasy fried food, I sometimes have a weird, heavy feeling and maybe even heartburn, but it's not typical. I haven't eaten anything fried in quite a while though.

It's funny, because people always say you must fuel your body properly for exercise, or suffer the repercussions. It doesn't seem to matter for me though. I don't go out of my way to make bad choices, but my body seems to process junk and oddities pretty well. My friend says I have a stomach of steel because I've been known to eat old leftovers that she wouldn't touch, lmao.

Since I've changed my (a good portion) of my style of food, the times I eat unhealthy it's like a mild food hangover. I don't feel super good and actually crave healthy foods right after.

Ummm when I eat "bad" foods (or rather really delicious foods that don't regularly fit into my daily calorie allowance...eh hem) my body basically screams "THAT WAS DELICIOUS MORE PLEASE NOW".

That would really suck if I felt THAT bad after eating not-so-healthy food. I mean...if my body starts rejecting bacon, I will obviously just need to eat more bacon so that it doesn't do that anymore. Because bacon.

Oh except one time I did throw up after eating ice cream. Though I think that had more to do with the bottle of wine that preceded the ice cream, and the fact that I ate the better part of a half gallon of it...........but I digress

I just realized today that my body really does react negatively to eating crap. I have been eating relatively healthy for almost the last year. Today, for the first time in a long time...i ate nothing but sugar and crap. This included 2 REGULAR pops...1 piece of cake, like 5 m&m cookies, pizza...and I think that is it. Needless to say...I feel gross.

I never had this happen...considering about a year ago I could easily have had all of that sugary food, and then some...and feel fine. I guess how I am feeling is both physical and mental. I feel physically sluggish and my stomach hurts. Mentally...I feel nothing but guilt. I had to re evaluate my plan (as i have very recently switched jobs...and work schedules). :D Getting back on track tomorrow!
  • Unhealthy food doesn't contain the nutrients our body demands to live healthy. Conseqeuntly, you may feel ill and lack the energy you need to complete your tasks daily. Unhealthy food contains large amount of suger & it can also demage your liver and heart.

I have no idea what anyone here is talking about, food being unhealthy.

When I eat "unhealthy" food. My energy levels in the gym shoot up and I can lift more weight. Why?
    Its calorie dense.

Most of you think that burgers and pizza is unhealthy?

    lol ok

Highly processed food is unhealthy. A big mac is unhealthy, a burger with quality ingredients; whilst heavy on the calories, isn't..

But to answer the original post, I eat pretty clean and when I don't I feel like crap. I've had 2 days in the last 4 months when I ate lots of fat and salt (sugar has never been my poison) and I won't do it again.

so your saying your body knows the difference between a big mac and a burger that you made at home? I don't really see how ones body can distinguish between the two as it treats them both as calories and energy....

After eating well for a few months, I had chicken and waffles (what can I say, they were amazing...) and later that evening I felt like I was going to pass out. I actually had to go lay down and the person I was with said I turned very pale. Still trying to figure out if they were worth all that haha

I had Wendy's another day, and spent that night in the toilet. Don't know if that's because of my previously healthy diet, or just the fact that I ate at Wendy's...

mcdonalds is unhealthy. chemicals, preservatives to allow it to survive through nuclear war, etc.

Preservatives are fine but mcdonalds is ridiculous
either way your body wont know the difference,

maybe the macronutrient composition will be different and then affect you.
    due to the macros composition

I asked about burgers and pizza
if you make your own burger at home. tell me what is unhealthy about it

I don't have a gallbladder so any calorically dense food with lots of fat, whether it's an avocado or a cheeseburger, leaves me running and praying.

Food high in fat can give me heartburn, but the most evil food for me is cabbage. Half a cup of that stuff, raw or cooked and I'm in horrid pain, swiftly followed by... Well, just don't stand down wind, k?

Huh, I am diabetic as well.... gestational diabetes that decided to hang around.

Running and praying is preferable to hyperglycemia, IMO.
