I've never had fried pickles before (I don't think they're a thing here) but I might give these a shot!

Great, now you've just made me want fried pickles! ;-)

Unfortunately, I don't have anything remotely close to satisfying that particular craving right now...

Nix the breading all together and save some calories ;) It is grilling season so pop so pickle spears, or chips, onto the grill.

Pat the pickles dry, drizzle with light EVOO and add any seasonings you like, maybe A BIT shredded cheese (will need to place on foil if you go that route) and pop them on the grill. I like mine with balsamic vinegar.

Pickles take a bit longer on the grill to get grill marks than you would think, but it is because of their liquid content. Just be patient, wait a few minutes (5-8 depending on how high heat is) then turn over and wait some more. They are so delicious.

This was fantastic! Not the grease - soaked nightmare I get at sports bars, but a lighter alternative. I'm retraining my tastebuds, and this definitely satisfied the craving.
