I was at a friend's the other day and was talking about my back pain. This dude who I had just met piped up "it's because of your big 'ole BOOBS!" and there was kind of an awkward silence for a minute after and then everyone made fun of him. It was hilarious.

But to answer your question, no I don't get upset if someone comments unless they're super rude and/or grabby. Shopping for button up tops and dresses and jackets on the other hand...

It depends who says it and how.

I am very big chested, it's a fact, I was big chested when I was 12 and skinny like twig. So generally, I don't find it insulting. Again, it depends on whom says it and the manner in which it is said. Was she envious, critical, etc?

Since you're saying that you don't like anything about you being associated with 'big' it sounds to me like you have issues that you need to deal with. Would you feel the same way if someone told you you had big beautiful eyes? Big isn't always a bad thing.

I would be appalled. I mean I would know they were lying so either they would be joking with me or they are just mean.

For me, it would be context dependent.

    Would I get upset with:

    Hubby? Nope.
    Family member? Nope.
    Close friend? Nope.
    Complete stranger? Yes.
    In a negative context? Yes.

haven't i told you the same thing? WHen girls complain of back pain, i always tell them it's probably cause they have big boobs.

ETA: I am pretty sure you wouldn't have been offended, you know I am often out spoken.

The thing is I don't know how to respond to that because that's kind of a stereotype, in my case it's really not because of my chest that I get back pain, but I don't want to go into why or the history of my back pain so I just don' say anything. In any case, it isn't an anger inducing statement. I get offended at many silly things but this isn't one of them.

what is this "normal" you speak of?

I wear a size 36 c. That size should be considered normal to everyone in my book... I don't like when men say they are big either. Just tell me im hot or something - don't pin point a body part. Thanks

Of all the things not to get annoyed about...this ranks fairly high. If you have big boobs...you do. Or you don't. I used to...now I don't, reallly. Whatever. Now....spelling it "bewbs".....THATS annoying.

I would consider that normal, but maybe your sister is smaller. Maybe she wishes she could be a 36c. Coincidentally, I'm presently a D-cup and even though my goal is to lose another 40 or 50 lbs, I'm dreading that I might lose it in my breasts... considering I was a double D before losing 90 lbs.

apparently you miss the fact "normal" is subjective. There truly is no such thing as "normal". Shoot learn to embrace your body and don't hate what you have been blessed with. I love my girls - and I am a 42D and to me that is "normal".

So basically suck it up cupcake and enjoy life and your girls

I like my breasts. It is pretty dumb when a stranger informs me that they're big, though. Yeah, wow, I HAD NO IDEA.

Anyone else get upset when someone (like ur sister) says u got big bewbs? I freaking hate being associated with "big"!!! Anything. I like to be normal. Normal bewbs, normal face, just normal normal normal. NOT big!!! Big is bad to me.... Thank God that when I told my hubby this, he said he loves my bewbs and that they are normal size!!!

Nobody has ever said that to me, although my husband does not want them to get any smaller (though I would like them to drop a cup size over the next few months).

HOWEVER, I just wanted to say I'm going to spell it "bewbs" from now on because every time I read that it cracks me up!

    Normal's vastly overrated.

Nonetheless, average bra size in the US is 34B/36C. Which is actually the same volume of breast, it's the back/ribcage measurement that makes the difference.

If anyone knows the mode value, that's the one that the highest proportion of women buy. As most are incorrectly fitted, this includes a hell of a lot of over optimistic 36s who should really be in 38s, because many ranges stop at 36. That size is given online as being 34B. (but of course, there are lots of variables that affect the validity of the claim, such as did they ask specialist manufacturers, other companies that only offer up to 36D, is it based upon sales or retailer orders, etc?)

The median value is the one slap bang in the middle. That will be a lot higher, simply because of the existence of very large sizes, no matter how small the numbers of women who buy them, as would the range and mean value.

It's a fairly inappropriate comment for anybody to make, so I would treat it with the distain it deserves. Don't flatter them by asking for reassurance.

You're a nice sister. I would say, "Yep, they're almost as big as your penis".

Nope. But I guess it depends on who is saying it and how. If someone uses the phrase tig ole bitties, fun bags, knockers, etc. it irritates me. They just don't sound like they're referring to something "pretty" and my b00bs are fantastic. I do wish they were a little smaller just so I could buy bras anywhere rather than the super expensive lingerie store, but I don't dislike them. They are big and honesty doesn't offend me.

I guess you could compare it to being called overweight vs fat. If someone described me as overweight or a little heavy, I wouldn't be offended. But if they said I was fat or chunky, it would p1ss me off because those sound like insults, rather than generic descriptions. I'm sure some people aren't bothered by the word fat, others may find overweight offensive and prefer curvy (even though, IMO, that's more about shape than size or weight, but I hear that word thrown around a lot to describe size/weight) and I'm sure some women with small b00bs might prefer to be described as perky or something (even though big b00bs can be perky too). If someone says it and it bugs you, just remember that it's one persons opinion. There aren't "normal" b00bs. One persons big is another persons too big or too small, just right, etc. Plenty of other things to worry about.

    Lol, ouch?

I have no problem at all with having big boobs. Wouldn't have it any other way
