I usually get about 7-8 hours a night.

A study I read says to check to see how much sleep your body needs is if you are on vacation for a week just wake up whenever your body is rested. Usually the first few days you will sleep long (like your 14 hours) until your body catches up but on days 6 and 7 you will wake up when your body is rested. That can range from 6 to 10 hours depending on the person and then you know how much sleep you need for your body.

During the week I'm lucky to get 6. Weekends I try to get 7-10 because I need it by then. I get so worn down during the week...grrrr lol.

A good night's sleep is about 4-5 hours. I'm getting abour 2-3 hours at the minute. I'm exhausted.

    Not enough,5-6 hours.

    I am perpetually exhausted.

^^ This. I could get more but then I would have no time for my morning workouts.

BTW 14 hours of sleep on weekend makes sense as the body can "catch up" on lost sleep.

Later - off to get some more coffee and get back to working.

7 hrs 15 mins is what I need according to my body's sleep patterns. As in no matter what time I go to bed and whether or not I have to get up the next morning, this is how much sleep I am allowed by my body. During the week though I average between 5 and 6.

I have trouble falling asleep, and after I get up at night, I have a near impossible time getting back to sleep. Many nights I get about 4 hours. Many times I don't get to sleep until 4 to 6 a.m. and then sleep until 10 a.m. No, I don't have sleep apnea. I just have insommnia, and a bad night means I have massive fatigue the next day. I CANNOT sleep more than four hours at the most without having to get up ( it's all that damned water I'm supposed to be drinking...) Sleeping pills do not help.

    Not enough. Ever.

I try to get to bed by 9:30 because I'm usually up between 5 and 5:30 for work, but that usually doesn't happen so I end up getting 4-6 hours. Those early mornings are rough!

Typically 6-8 during the week, and 8-10 on the weekends.

It depends on the time of year. This is my busy season. I'm lucky to get 4.5/.day. It's not enough. In the winter, it's closer to 6.
