Day after STEAK

I ate a 16 oz Tbone steak lastnight with broccoli, (I know I should have ate 5 oz)... I figured one bad meal with little carbs/sugar wouldnt ruin anything. This morning my tummy is poking out a lot and I feel heavier! How do I correct this?? Fast for 2 days...
Never eat steak again, clearly. You can't handle such a horrible dietary choice of meat and vegetable. That combination is not found in nature.0 -

Well, I, for one, do not appreciate your obviously mocking post.
Did you ever stop to consider that she might be "meat and vegetable" intolerant?
Yeah, I didn't think so. Not everyone can eat the same food combinations that you can. Everyone is different.
Maybe next time, you should think before you post.
Remember, we're all here for the same reason.0 -
What? Why would you need to do anything? I, personally, would eat steak again today.0

Some Metamucil and a good sweat will clean it out0

Just eat like you normally do. This too shall pass.
LOL!
GET IT?!?!
Hahahahahaaaaa clever girl!
LOL!! Awesome..0 -
I eat LOTS of steak and so should you! If you ate 16 oz of donuts, THEN I would be worried!0
-
i suspect your digestive system can deal with this one without you 'doing' anything.
you're bloated, you'll *kitten*, you'll be less bloated.0 -
It didn't create "explosive" properties in your bowels?
Whenever I eat more than about 10 oz of any red meat, I tend to have a pretty "explosive" night/next morning. But I don't eat that much of it all that often.0 -
I'm glad tonight is date night. I need steak.0
-
take it as a lesson learned and dont do it again. Eat normally, maybe more fiber and water. You will be fine in a few days0

You do kind of look like Michael Weatherly's stunt double, magerum.0 -
I don't know about correcting this, but in the future you should give me the 16 oz chunk of cow. We'll both feel better.0

Only 16oz? Petite cut?0

yeah...watch out for a really "hard" BM LOL a lot of meat like that will kinda mess with your digestive system.
Gross right? Well..its the truth. and don't fast. Just eat a lot of high fiber foods to "push" that big ol steak through.0 -
Fast for 2 days...
i would say at least 5-6 days.... i mean you ate protein and veg.... TERRIBLE!

Mmm...steak! That meal sounds totally awesome! Sounds like only ~1000 cals...I have definitely done worse in a meal before. I am jealous!0

Calm down and move on.
If you think not eating for two days is the correct response to a healthy, albeit caloric, meal, you need to think again.0 -
Lots of water (triple what you normally drink) and either a mild laxative or stool softener--beef can bind you up pretty badly. Then back to normal. As the others said, one misstep isn't the end of the world.0

You don't need a laxative to pass a steak...0 -

You're recommending a preemptive laxative for ONE STEAK?!?
And steak and broccoli is a "misstep"??
I don't...
I can't...
I...

whiskey helps.0

If you're uptight enough about "clean eatin'" to consider a steak and broccoli meal to be a misstep, then perhaps you do need a laxative.0 -

Like I said, a gentle laxative or stool softener. 16 ounces of steak is going to be hard to pass for someone who typically eats 1/4 of that. And yes, a POUND of steak is most certainly a misstep.0 -

Day after STEAK was something I did with my friends right after high school. The day after we had a "friend over for a sleepover" we'd call up our buddies and go hit a steakhouse.
You correct it by going to the head and getting lighter. To do so, if you have transit issues, fiber, fiber, fiber. Watermelon is a real good one, for me at least, even though it is all sugar.0 -
I would love to have some steak. I haven't eaten any beef since November, 2012!!!0

orly? How long have you been a nutritionist?0 -

I eat steak, I don't eat an entire pound of it in a single sitting. In fact six ounces is typically my limit before I start to feel ill--four ounces is a nice portion. That has nothing to do with clean eating, weight control, or anything else other than not wanting to feel bloated and disgusting.0
