My ex-boyfriend would talk about parasites like this, too. It was very annoying. Many of the diseases you listed have diet or substance abuse related causes, not parasites. Let me be upfront. Shut up and see a specialist if you're so worried. We are not going to check you here for worms on MFP through the internet.

Op. paranoia is often a symptom of bi polar. I woukd suggest making an appointment with your dr to discuss this obsession that something is wrong with you before you do your body serious harm with these "cleanses"

Please don't go around diagnosing mental illnesses on the internet. You're just giving this person another thing to be worried about and spreading a misinformed view about bipolar disorder.

wormwood is a highly dangerous psychedelic drug and the reason Absinthe is illegal in western countries.

Wormwood isn't a dangerous psychedelic; in fact its used in a lot of traditional herbal remedies and as flavouring for bitters, spirits and beer. It got that reputation from a 19th Century study of alcoholics all of whom were suffering hallucinations but only some of whom drank Absinthe.

Absinthe isn't illegal anywhere in Western Europe as far as I am aware; even France revoked the ban in 2011.

Thank you, OP. That was very interesting.

Oh, and I believe they have removed wormwood from absinthe, and that is why it is once again available.

I've had my two parasites so long I've given them names:
Alice - uses up all the hot water.
Michael - eats all the food on the house.

I heard buying them suitcases might be a cure but it hasn't worked so far....

I have 2 parasites currently but I hear if you take care of them well enough for long enough, they leave, get good jobs, and eventually I'll be able to become the parasite on them...

It might all be rumors though.

Feel free to re-read the op. She said she had been diagnosed bipolar not me and paranoia is a symptom of some forms of bi polar. My best friend is bipolar and this is one of the symptoms. I am not spreading a misinformed view about anything.

Two words: Delusional parasitosis. It's a thing. Google it. Human beings can convince themselves of pretty much anything.

    This.

There are very real issues attributable to many parasites (especially various intestinal worms, thread worms, brain parasites, etc) but in this case... and without a medical diagnosis and treatment... *shrug*.

There are no parasites that enjoy humans as hosts that have any issue with how oxygenated our blood becomes... generally speaking as soon as you see the word: "cleanse" you know it's some special bs with no medical backing.

Mmm ... Absinthe (Yeh, I said "Mmm" ... I'm the weirdo that actually likes the black jelly beans) ... I could use a visit from the green fairy ...

Protip: recently defined as legalized (in the usa, http://www.wormwoodsociety.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=187&Itemid=1)

I didn't read the OP's full post. Still standing with my response to your comment.

Didn't read the OP's whole post, thus missing important information.

And it was a really long post. I tend to skim and have been know to miss some important info.

I usually just edit or post an apology for my oversight.
