I've had every color and length of hair over the years, and have concluded it's my milkshake that brings all the boys to the yard.
I seems rather unsophistocated for a man to demand long hair. This is the modern world and i am pretty sure we shouldn't be taking style tips from guys.

I like for it to be at least up to the shoulders..but some girls look better with shorter hair that falls around jaw/neck length...it all depends on how you rock it

I have had my hair short (approx 1/2") to all the way down to the small of my back and for me, short hair is the way to go. I hate having hair on my head. Right now it's probably about 1 1/2" - 3". Ahhh. Bliss.

That said, most of the guys I have hung out with, didn't really care one way or the other if a woman had short or long hair. They liked the woman.

My husband prefers it long. He's asked me not to cut it short, so I don't.

Looooong hair. Unless you're sporting double D's, then it's your choice.

    My choice. Always : )
  • Not guy, but my opinion long...cut mine short a couple times before and absolutely regretted it.

I honestly don't care what potential dates think about my hair. I have long, curly hair and I love long hair. It's my hair, and I do what I want with it. On others, I prefer my men and women to have long hair, but only if they take care of it.

Oh, does he own you? If YOU want to try it short, then do it. It's just hair, it grows back. And if you like it short, keep it. The decision should be yours and never his, or anybody else's.

I used to keep my hair really short, and men would complain. I obviously have long hair now and wouldn't change it for anything. I get a lot of hair envy.

Geez! Calm down. He asked & I do what he asked. He's not ordering me not to cut my hair. I don't get all crazy about everything he asks me to do. Honestly! We've been together nearly 20 years. If long hair keeps him happy, then what's the big deal. If there was something I wanted from him, I'd ask & I can't imagine anything that he'd refuse to do. That's what makes my marriage work.

Long hair, I've had mine long and short, I really don't suit short hair.

But how about this question, do us woman get to a certain age when we are too old for long hair....

I am 46 and even though I don't want short hair I am beginning to think that I am getting too old for long hair. x

My mother is 54 and has hair down to the middle of her back. People always think she is in her early to mid forties. You are never to old for long hair.

I guess the one positive for women with short hair is that you don't have to deal with all the hair that can get plugged up in the shower every day.

    I don't know, I don't think I'd look good with short hair.

Doesn't matter to me, but some people "wear" certain styles better than others... not everyone can pull off the Halle Berry.

Thanks for all the input everyone! I asked for opinions and I sure got em :)

I think I will cut it short (but I didn't realize that MY idea of short is actually kind of medium/long :) I'll post pics after I do it!

And just a side note - I don't typically make decisions based on what I think other people want - BUT I think it is really nice to sometimes consider what other people like. A boyfriend/husband does not own his significant other, but I know that I've preferred my boyfriends facial hair certain ways and it's kind of cute when they consider your opinion. I wasn't asking because I want to form how I look to please a future guy - just because I was curious what the general opinion was :) Thanks for helping me out!

    Yes, do what you like!

My husband prefers long hair, but he's finally figured out I do what want with my hair anyway! Besides, I keep up with shorter hair better, if its long I throw it up in a ponytail or whatever all the time, boring!

Long. Long is always the way to go. When in doubt don't cut it.

Mine was nearly to the middle of my back and I just cut 6 inches off to my shoulders about a week ago. I LOVE it. Hubster begged me not to and I told hubby if he wants long hair he can grow his own out. It's too damn HOT in Arizona to have long thick hair in the summertime! And wow - he wound up loving my new hair. It's not too short. But some women look amazing with short hair!

No sane man would say no to a hot, interested woman just because of hair length.

LOL .... very very very true!

    I concur! haha
