1 cup whole wheat flour, plus 1 tablespoon for dusting the cutting board
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup fat-free Greek yogurt

Preheat oven to 350. Combine dry ingredients, then slowly incorporate the yogurt. Knead until well combined. Wrap in plastic and leave in fridge for 1 hour. Divide dough in 6 pieces and roll into circles about 6 inches in diameter. Place dough in oven and cook for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with a dab of hummus :) Enjoy!

This sounds great! I love eating pita and hummus in the morning, but not at 200 per piece. Will try!

I'm from the UK, what volume are you using for "cup"?

Thanks. I was inspired by this so have just made some for my lunch. I used buckwheat flour as I'm coeliac so can't eat wheat, and they turned out great. Very easy and like a wholemeal pitta bread but healthy.
  • going to try making this weekend thanks! Ive been amazed lately how many things work so well with greek yogurt, i use it in everything!

I'm so glad they worked with your buckwheat flour. I wanted to get some to make buckwheat pancakes, but I may have to try the buckwheat with this recipe too :)
  • I made this tonight for flatbread pizzas! I only had all purpose flour, so I used that, but it came out delicious! Definitely saving this recipe. Thanks!

Flatbread pizza is a staple of my diet. And this looks like it might make a better flatbread than my current recipe. Thanks!
  • Love this! Can't wait to try it. Thanks

This recipe is really versatile, you can do honey and cinnamon to taste in the dough, or add herbs and garlic... it's really up to you :)
