I think changing it to lose 1lb is a GREAT idea. I think 1200 cals is too low for any adult who works out. I eat 2000 cals on workout days to maintain, 1700 on rest days. I'm 5'7", 136 and will be 40 next week...

If you're starving, I say up it. I have my MFP daily goal set at 1610. Usually I'm right around that number (so on workout days the actual food that goes into my mouth is usually around 1850-1900, net is around 1610), but if there's a day here or there that I'm especially hungry and I've worked out, sometimes I'll net up to 1800-1900.

I've got mine set for 1890 a day. I workout 4-6 hours a week. Thinking of upping it as I'm hungry still.

Mine is at 1300 or so. I usually hit around that even though my log doesn't always reflect it. I forget sometimes to add a snack or something.

3000-5000 depending on amount of exercise. 1400 if I did no exercise (losing weight).

My goal is set to 1500 - I usually shoot to be a little under that - ideally at 1400. That's about a 1lb loss for me per week.

    1250. That's for losing 1lb a week. I thought about 2 a week, but I would be STARVING.

You need to start off with a higher calorie intake, as your stomach adjusts to it, you won't feel as hungry if you drop down by 100 calories every months,

I started on 2400 a day, and slowly tapered down to 1950, even on 1950 I am losing 1-2kg per week =]

    (with excersise, Muay thai, weights)

I set mine to 1500 because it made family functions and going out with friends less stressful. I know it's the easy way out, but I can stick with it and eat what I'd like. I'm sometimes below and rarely over. I think it has me losing .6 or .7 lbs a week.

About 1800 .... that's what MFP and my fitbit page suggest.

Some days, more and some days less.
