    My ONLY problem is that I only crave or go near them on Sunday. Sad. But now Im thinking its gonna be dinner Friday night.

    I don't see why everyone is so butt hurt over a religious companys stance on homo sex and same sex marrige. I go there to eat their chicken I could care less what their beliefs or how much they pray to a sky wizard.

    I don't think it's so much their stance on their beliefs, but more of what organizations their profits go towards.

    But I think even that would be obvious... People (or in this case leaders of companies) are going to donate to causes that hold the same beliefs as them.... Everyone (unless they lived in a cave their whole lives) knew they were a Christian ran company... I mean, they aren't even open on Sunday... who else, besides Hobby Lobby, Christian bookstores and small businesses aren't open on Sunday? Everyone is open on Sunday. So wouldn't it be safe to assume that they would have donated to people like Focus on the Family?
    Yes. And that's why they will never get my dime. That and we don't have them in my region and I'm a vegetarian. I kind of wish they were here and I was still eating meat just so I could not eat in their restaurant and have it mean something.

    I can only speak for myself. Dan Cathy (president of Chick-Fil-A) has a right to his opinion. He has a right to voice that opinion. I don't begrudge him that.

    My issue with them as a company is that they actively support anti-gay legislation, so......while crying about HIS right to free speech, he's attempting to strip others of THEIR rights.

    As such, I exercise MY right to not support a business that, in my opinion, perpetuates bigotry and discrimination. Nothing to do with being "butt hurt", just something I feel strongly about. I boycot many other businesses/charities whose values/practices I disagree with for many different reasons.

    Is it just me or has Chick Fil A somehow found a way to be looked more negatively than McDonalds? 2012 is an odd one so far. I do enjoy the fact that woman are talking porn more this year.

    I got some for kids today... not to make a statement though. Chik-Fil-A and anyone else on this planet can believe in whatever they want. It isn't any of my business and it doesn't bother me in the slightest what people think or do as long as it they aren't hurting anyone else.

    You do realize that it isn't even more than 1% of their profits that go towards those organizations? I wish it was as easy to deduct the amount of my tax money that I didn't agree with how it's spent as it was to not to to a particular restaurant and yet private organizations are vilified while government gets a free pass. There's something backward there if you ask me.

    I don't understand why people are surprised that a company who is not open on Sundays is against same sex marriage.

    I'm not going there today because I don't want to fight the huge crowds that they're showing on the news. I don't have a problem with same sex marriage and I don't have a problem with Chick-fil-A.

    YES YES YES a thousand times yes! Idk how or everyone was so shocked about this? Did people think they were going to support gay rights? And I'd be more than willing to bet that 99% of the people offended by chik-fil-a's decisions have NO CLUE about where the profits of other businesses go! Other businesses that they do support.

    original chicken sandwich (no bun) side salad with ranch dressing (I love the sunflower seeds with my salad) and unsweetened tea. I loooooooove their chocolate chip cookies (warm and gooey) but not downing those calories today.

    and that's fine... I don't really care where people eat, shop or play... or for what reasons... because those reasons are theirs and theirs alone... I tend to do so based on quality of product and customer service rather than social stances... simply because more often than not, social change is going to come from a voting booth... and when that happens, I am not swayed by propoganda by anyone... pro-this or that.... it makes little difference to me.

    That's 1% too much. In the opinion of this consumer, of course.

    If I had a means fo controlling where my tax dollars went I'd vote with my dollar in that arena as well.

    Some of us follow our conscience (when it's not too inconvenient, anyway).
