Great recipe! I tried it for dinner last night, sadly we had no strawberries in the house so I gave it a tr y with raspberries instead and a tsp of honey (My dad would have a bird if he saw me using artificial sweetner) But still equally delish! :)

I've made something very similar to this, but I used:

    1 cup of greek yogurt
2 cups of frozen or unfrozen strawberries
    1/2 cup ice
2 packets of splenda (or more if you want it sweeter)

blend the yogurt, strawberries and splenda first then add in the ice... this is super filling and great for a quick breakfast

I usually avoid anything with cottage cheese. I never liked it. This might be a good way to mask the taste and consistency. Thnx for sharing.
The addition of cottage cheese provides a thick, creamy milkshake quality. I don't like overly sweet, thin shakes - I prefer a balance of creamy/sweet (if using fruit). Thus, 1/2 cup of cottage cheese is always a default ingredient for me.

  • Tried it and LOVED it! I added ice too and it didn't dilute the flavor at all. Delish!!

I made one of my own recipe. I don't remember it much since it was more like throw it all together and taste test...

I did cottage cheese, plain yogurt, vanilla protein powder, milk and strawberries I think. I never add any kind of sweetener to smoothies in the form of splenda or sugar. Whatever I added in my smoothie it tasted EXACTLY like strawberry cheesecake.

Dashingdish.com makes something similar but with protein powder & some sugar-free cheesecake pudding mix. So good!

Check out her site if you haven't already!
