I'm going to Paris for christmas so this is perfect timing for me to really get on board and motivated. I would like to drop 35lbs by then and hopefully be able to wear knee length boots again

This sounds great! :happy: I had already set a goal for Christmas, now I get to do it with a bunch of MFPs! My overall goal is to lose 40lbs and if I can do that by Christmas, what a great gift that would be!0

I lost 1.4 lbs this week. My goal is 2 lbs/week so I'm a little disappointed. However, my birthday was this week and I ate a fatty high calorie meal with drinks and didn't exercise that day. Plus I started weight lifting this week, so my cardio has slowed a bit. I think this next week will be better. I'm still up for the challenge!!!

HI, joined last week and have been really quite good and have managed to lose 3 Ibs. Am chuffed as my weight keeps on yoyoing. My goal for christmas is 133. Wk 1 - result!0

Ok... So still short on my goal this week. I lost 1.8 lbs.
I'm not sure if my goal of 2 lbs/week is too lofty or maybe I just need more intense workouts. I battle with the idea of "feeling good and having good energy," or working really hard and getting to my goal faster. I think I'm leaning towards balance now. I hope everyone else had a good week! I haven't posted a pic yet because I can't find the cord that connects my camera to the computer. I'm on vacation next week though. I'm hoping to have a little more time to get the little things done then. :-)

I'm very new to MFP and just am seeing this. I would definitely like to be part of this challenge. September through mid-Dec. Is typically my easiest time of the year for losing or maintaining my weight. I am a LT member of WW and still weigh in once/month, but I have been tracking calories/nutrients for quite a while now (was using FitDay previously).0
