Nobody has asked if you have given your husband a reason to be spying on you.

I love how everyone just assumes he is insecure.

Very good point..................Is there any "Other" reason?
Even thou I think spying is wrong.... Possibly some reason why hes like that right now?
I assume he wasn't like that the day you got married....

    Heres a few reasons...

1- His Ex girlfriend or Ex wife cheated on him...
    2- You've cheated on him
3- Hes cheating on you, and suspects your also cheating on him.... But your not.
4- He has major insecurities, or paranoid

I think I've addressed this SVERAL times now. BUT just so we're SURE. NO I do NOT do anything to make him suspusious. BUT if you asked him, he might tell you something different. When we first started our relationship, I was very open with him. I admited that when I was (MUCH younger) I cheated on my boyfriend. Let me mention this wasnt an affair or a repeatitive thing, the (ex)boyfriend was having an affair on me, it was a revenge thing... so his typical response is "you cheated once so you COULD do it again." Mind you, since then, I GREW UP, had kids, got married, FOUND GOD, and bought a house with my husband. I've NEVER done a thing since we met to arouse any suspsions. I've worked VERY HARD to PROVE that I am nothing like his cheating exs!!!

My S.O and I are both on here, and on each other's list. We have friends in common, as well as friends sepearately. He has female friends, and I have male friends. He is highly complimentary and appreciative of the female form, well, everyone's except mine. I don't spy on him and I am quite sure he doesn't examine everything or anything I do, say, or post either. He doesn't care that much lol. I know he's quite aware that no other man would even look twice at me, and definitely not flirt with me. I am a complete open book, have nothing to hide, never have and never will. He isn't so much in talking, and that bothers me. However, it's something that can be worked on. Communication is a must in every relationship. I am working on my communication skills, and I sure hope he's working on his.

  • So next time we meet up, you're bringing the baby oil, right?

I'll bring the swing and all the leather stuff.

I hate sending messages on this thing. I can never tell if they're private or not.

    This one is, right?

    Fake edit: JOKES!

He hate facebook so he doesn't spy on me there. I tell him everything about mfp so he doesn't have a reason to spy on me here  He is a very trusting person and I love that we can talk to one another about anything cause we don't like to keep things from eachother.

No. I really find insecurity very unattractive. When my husband gets that way ...& they all have their moments.... it upsets me to NO end. Thankfully, it's like a man period thing where he PMS's & then moves on. Haha.

There is no cure for insecurity. She's porn star hot and he's got issues, she could look like me and he'd still have issues.

Definitely talk to him about it! I strongly believe there are few problems in the world that can't be solved through better communication. Also, he needs to stop hanging the former infidelities over your head. We all do stupid things when we are young and we get over them. I mean how many of us still drive the way we did when we were 16? Talk to our parents the same way? Eat junk food and not care about the consequences? If we can grow up and change those things, we can change other things. My husband once saw an email for a dating site that I had forgotten I had a profile in and didn't ask me about it for days. When he finally did he was so upset, I felt terrible! I wasn't using the site anymore and hadn't logged in since before we started dating. But the email made it look like I had recently been using it! Fortunately we were able to talk about it and move on. Hopefully you can do the same.
  • Dear Husband,

Since you are probably reading this right now... This sounds pretty juvenile / high schoolish. I understand you've been hurt and cheated on in the past...You need some serious counseling for your TRUST issues. TRUST me, if you want your marriage to last. TRUST is key. Oh wait.... I said trust me...

I'm serious about the counseling dude. Let your wife live a little.

Um has he got a reason to believe that because he is doing something wrong? Its a tough situation he shouldnt be treating you like his exs, he also should trust you until given reason not too. The risks here are control and insecurity does he ask you why it takes you so long to get home when your out with friends? Or maybe why you didnt answer your phone when he text you until an hour later? If not its probably not trust issues but more the famous MFP single ripped guys all over here hahaha thats a good reason to be cautious! If it is that id say maybe work on encouraging him to give fitness a try. ;) everyone insecure sometimes, maybe the easiest fix is to reassure him your sexy self is only for him.

Leave him. You know that's what you need. If he can fix himself with therapy, let him back in later.

You deserve to be happy. You posted on this site because you are deeply unhappy. Time to go.

I don't spy on my wife. I just regularly check her text messages, follow her, add a secret GPS tracking app on her phone, and secretly mail her panties to a laboratory to seminal analysis. You know, to make sure it's mine and not someone else's.

    Just standard procedure. No biggie.

I'm used to my husband spying on me through Facebook, I've had that forever, but ever since I lost 30 lbs and then joined MFP for that last pesky 10, he's been spying on me here too. I can't get him to join (he could stand to eat healthier too) but for the life of me I can't understand why would MFP be worthy of spying on? Does your hubby do that too, wives do you spy on your hubby's MFP page/friends/posts/diary?

One of two things or both. He's very insecure, and/or he's projecting his own behavior on you. Men I know that that cheat on their wives worry constantly that their wives are cheating on them, and go to great lengths to spy on them, and keep tabs on them.

That seems insane, they are cheating so naturally they HAVE to make sure their wife isnt? Thats just stupid! If she is cheating what are they gonna say? "GOTCHA! Caught you doing the samething im doing.."

Have you bought the paternity tests they sell at CVS or Walgreens? Your kids may be proof.

add a secret GPS tracking app on her phone,

Nope my husband does not spy on me online. He is a technophobe. He did try to open my laptop once but the fact that the the word Toshiba was "upside down" on the lid fooled him and he passed it to me saying "I think it's jammed". So not much chance of him knowing how to turn it on let alone get past my randomly changed passwords.

My dear old mum says "Never look through a keyhole lest you be vexed". Then she always adds "or someone pokes a skewer in your eye". LOL
